I liked this place for a variety of reasons: the front desk staff was very friendly and helpful; and the cleaning crew was A++; both groups work very hard. It's not easy work, so I thank them. Rates were great too: $52/night plus tax; well worth it. However, there were two things that they should improve:
CABLE STATION LINEUP: you could not acess the stations that were listed; the message was channel not available; and the front desk didn't give a list of the stations that were available untill you asked; isn't that a given? And oh, the stations that were available: awful, awful and more than awful. There was one C-Span station; how many times could I listen to the Dept. of Transportation discuss distractions while driving. Help. And the movie channels they had all had commercials; come on, there are good movie channels out there w/ocommercials: Turner Classic Movies, IFC, Sundance; and there was only one PBS channel you could access; the other one wasn't accessible. Help; I'm not against the Housewives of Joliet, IL; I understand TV as escape; is there no culture in Surprise? I have to go back tonight; help me. Only one more night.
Lastly, breakfast: after 5 days, I need some diversity and will be going to a restaurant tomorrow; the breakfast is average; boy how I wished for scrambled eggs and some more hot food; they had waffles you could make which was nice; but no fresh fruit toppings; re the fresh fruit: bananas, please; and there are more apple varieties than red delicious. And please have a real knife to cut the oranges; and when strawberries are in season, please have them also.
That's it; I would recommend w/reservations if they make changes.
