After reading reviews from good to bad about this establishment, I tend to think that people expect too much from a hotel that is reasonably priced. My children (in their 20's) and I stayed there for several days while visiting my mother in her retirement home in Sun City West over Christmas and were well-satisfied. In fact, if we go back this Christmas, we will stay there again. Our room was pleasant, clean, and the beds comfortable. The breakfast had a lot of items and was tasty, and there was an assortment of tables in a sunny dining area. The lobby was attractive, with high ceilings, and was decorated for Christmas, so it had a homey feel. I felt the staff, though they had to work holiday shifts, was very pleasant, efficient, and welcoming. As someone else mentioned, they also have a lot of toiletries available, should you have forgotten something, which I did, unfortunately. The pool was extremely clean and well-heated, as was the Jacuzzi, and it was so lovely to come out in the mornings and relax poolside. I also had no complaints about the cable, nor did my children. One amusing thing that my daughter pointed out was that there are many paintings in the building that are just like each other. If that is a complaint (which it isn't, by the way), then it is a very amusing one, as we thoroughly enjoyed playing, "Spot the Double Painting."
Over all, I think this hotel is an excellent value and is well-located for eating establishments and shopping. As I mentioned, I would gladly stay there again, and will.
Room Tip: Stay away from the ones by the elevator, as they can be noisy. Ours was dark, noisy, and looked out...
