“Excellent value if traveling on a budget”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 August 2010

We found this to be the perfect hotel for travelers on a budget. Our room overlooking the pool was clean, quiet, comfortable and contemporary. The staff was efficient and courteous. The pool was clean with a nice view. The continental breakfast had all the basics and the lobby/dining room was neat and clean. Only note is that there is no jacuzzi and the pool towels are little larger than bath mats.

“Clean,Comfortable,No Frills....”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 November 2009

This was not the best hotel that I`ve ever stayed in,but certainly not the worst. The room was clean, spacious, and all the room amenities worked. It was a handicap room and the bathroom was set up nicely with plenty of room to navigate a wheelchair. The only complaint would be that the beds are too high for a handicapped person to get into without assistance. The dresser, bathroom vanity and everything else was the right height but not the beds.Bad planning on someones part.Otherwise, the room was okay, the property was clean and relatively quiet, and the staff was efficient.

“Very nice stay”

We spent a week at this motel and had a very good overall experience. It's an older property, but well-kept. Our room was on the second floor in the back, away from potential highway noise (main thoroughfare runs by the front of the motel), and overlooking an open lot which was busy with several species of birds every morning. (The sole purpose of the trip was birdwatching in the Huachuca Mountains.) The continental breakfast was more than adequate, with biscuits and gravy, cereal, breads and pastries, hard boiled eggs, fresh fruit and yogurts. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable (= firm). Housekeeping did a great job overall, keeping the room very clean. The room rate was great, too, some $25 a day under the rate for a newer motel down the street that had comparable accomodations and amenities. No problems at all with the wireless High Speed Internet. We did not try the pool, but it looked quite clean.

“Great Value and Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 May 2009

Spent three days and not a bad moment in the three. Had not been in the room more than 10 minutes when the desk called asking was the room OK and was there anything that we needed?. 1st time in over 25 years of travel that ever happened. Floor to room was a tad damp from being steam cleaned but it was not any real discomfort, and felt rather good to hot tired feet! Only drawback was as is with all hotels that combine breakfast areas with the lobby, it has a space problems when the guests all wanna eat at the same time. Recommend the owners have a person on call to "bus" the area and keep the flow going. Will stay again,as location is central and the price is right.

“Our first stay - won't be our last”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 April 2009

We go to Sierra Vista one time a year for birding. We've stayed at the Comfort Inn and Hampton Inn in years past and while they are nice, they aren't quite the bargain the Best Western Mission Inn is.

Be warned, there are no elevators to the 2nd floor, and the doors open to the outside. The continental breakfast has a waffle maker, hard boiled eggs, biscuits and gravy, along with the usual cereal, yogurt and assorted white flour and sugar pastries. But with the money we saved (most other hotels were over $100 per night and we got the BW for $73 with AAA), we are able to go out for a hot breakfast at a local restaurant if we want.

The rooms are spacious and well appointed, with a recliner, microwave, mini-fridge, lots of conditioning shampoo and lotion, shoe mitt, etc. The towels are soft, and we like how the toilet and shower/tub were separate from the main sink and large counter area.

We were at the back of the property in an end unit and it was very quiet. The room darkening shades and comfortable bed made for a good night's sleep.
