“Friendly and interesting people, classic motel, not for high maintenance people”

Being a bit of a "clean" person, I had my doubts upon entering my room... and indeed, looking under any furniture is a terrible idea in this place!! However, the sheets and bed were clean, and everywhere not under something was clean, though the bathroom floor could use some work. Being a "clean" person, I wore slippers everywhere, and used clorox wipes on the toilet, shower, lamp switches, etc, but I do this at all hotels/motels. The mattress was very comfortable, but I needed two pillows as they were flat. The staff and owner, Anne-Lise, are very very accomodating and friendly, as are everyone I have met in my three week stay in Seligman. What a novel little town. All of the surrounding areas have such beauty and historic value. From this motel I have gone (all in a day or two trip)to: Sedona (gorgeous!), The Grand Canyon (and all the way to Marble Mountains and the Vermillion Cliffs), all the way to Southern California on Rt 66, which is a beautiful experience full of history (Oatman, Needles, Kingman, Bullhead city, etc.), The Grand Canyon Caverns, Flagstaff, Tucson and Arizona-Sonoran Desert museum. Meteor Crater is also very close. Camping and hiking are free in nearby Boquillas ranch, and great horseback riding at Quarter Circle JD near the Grand Canyon Caverns (not near Grand Canyon, fyi)

“Living History”

Look, this Motel was built 60 or so years ago and has had only minor improvements since then, which makes this place a living history lesson for kids of today. This is the type place my parents took my family to when we were growing up. I'm 61 and was taken back in time to a cozy time in my life when families did things together and I really liked the feeling it gave me.
It doesn't have a Pool, game room, Spa, or workout room. It does have charm, simplicity and an onsite owner that smiles alot and plays the spoons at the Pizza restaurant next door. Staying here will show young people of today how much society has changed from a more simple time to the XBox world we now live in. By staying at the Stagecoach 66 Motel you will be able to have face to face conversation and listen to live music with the Motel owner playing percussion. It was a real joy without any bells and whistles.
Maybe kids can see that money and material things don't make us happy it's love for one another and quality time spent together as a family that really matters.

“Classic Route 66 Motel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 July 2010

We got in late but they had a nice, clean room for 4 available at a very affordable price. The wi-fi is a nice modern feature and I really enjoyed having a bench outside my room to relax on. I love being able to unpack the car within ten steps of my room.

I didn't try the TV or the microwave, but the fridge was nice & cold. The shower was powerful and the bed comfy. The train comes through often, but I slept very well regardless. This place is a true gem along the old Route 66.

The owners are very nice and full of wonderful information about the area. They have a pizza shop with live music and a surprisingly good selection of bottled beer. It's a good place for travelers who enjoy motels for the basics.

“A delightful treat!”

My wife and I were about 4000 miles into a 7000 mile trek through the Southwest and came across Stagecoach 66 Motel and the closely affiliated Pizza Joint. Having stayed in hotels on this trip ranging in price from $49 at a low to $239 at a high, Stagecoach 66 was the most delightful on this trip. Friendly helpful folk, a clean room and bed, excellent selection of beer, tasty and generously sized pizza, and cool movies to boot. Best of all, the proprietors are interesting people doing more than what is required to ensure the stay is comfortable.

“A must on Route 66!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 May 2010

Comfortable and clean rooms. Working on theme-rooms, pretty cool idea. The John Wayne room, the traditional room, or the US Marine Room. We had the traditional room, with traditional family pictures and a nice athmosphere. Micro and fridge in room. Coffe I got in the office from 6am. For me its just impossible to stay anywere without WiFi, and here it is free. The train is just behind the motel, as with most motels along Route 66, but it did not bother me more than other trafic would have.
Lets not kid ourselves, this is not a luxury establishement, but it is charming and different - and has great and personal service. The Pizza Joint is on the same property and has the best pizza I have had! Would be worth returning just for that. They also have about 50 differnt beers! Personally, I REALLY like having the motel, food and beer/wine at the same place - I park the car before the alkohol. The restaurant is actually very cozy and quaint, 50'ish, and has lots of memorabilia. I sat down an felt like home! TV for sports, and even great live music on some occations!

The Motel has an artist working on decorating the Motel, and I was positively surprised at how much it did for the feel of staying there. A Cars paiting, some Route 66 symbols, and the Elvis - it just looks GREAT! I heard there will be more coming.
