We setup a week's stay for our great friends from Portland, OR, this is their review of the property.

Los Abrigados was quite nice, but we didn't spend much time in the room or on the property. That said, the resort was beautifully located in scenic Sedona. The buildings and grounds were well maintained.

The room we stayed in needed a few minor updates, but it was clean and pleasant. The bathroom door squeaked when opening and closing and the bathroom fan was very loud with a clanking sound. One of the TV remotes was dead. In the main room the lights were oddly wired, making it inconvenient to select the preferred lighting. These were small annoyances that suggested a certain lack of maintenance.

For us, the best part of the hotel is the amazing location, right next to Tlaquepaque and in the heart of beautiful Sedona. We enjoyed having a full kitchen and our location was quiet in the evenings.

We found the staff to be helpful and friendly. All in all, it was a most satisfactory stay. We would recommend Los Abrigados to friends.

Enjoyed the kitchen and dining area in the suite. Good location to sites. Took the on-site wine tasting class and loved it. Spa was wonderful.

We have stayed at Los Abrigados three times and while the location is perfect and Tlaquepaque Shopping Center is beautiful, the resort rooms are 1970s at best. Very minimal and old funky furniture, shag type carpet, etc.. With the presentation fo the beautiful lobby and nice spa and restaurant, they really need to remodel ALL the rooms. The staff is very nice and accommodating, but the pushiness of the time share sales force was not appreciated. Other than my comments, we love the area, so we will likely be back.

I visited Sedona, Arizona in the summer of 2006 and I didn't know what to expect. I was staying with my family (of five people) in a 2 bedroom room that came with a full kitchen, a dining table and an enormous living room. We had a sliding door to a patio that led right into one of the pools. The location was excellent for Sedona (we rented a car), and the rooms and services were luxurious. The restaurants and lounges on site were excellent as well. If you're willing to spend some more money for an amazing experience, I recommend it.
