“The Inn Has Changed Owners - DON'T GO”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 August 2007

The views are still gorgeous and you are still close to everything, but the new owners have no idea how to run a B&B.

There was renovation going on the entire time we were there. We rented the full B&B (3 rooms) and when we got there they had added another room, but had not bothered to tell us, so our private getaway was not so private.

The current "host" has brochures of area activities, but has almost no personal knowledge and so, is very unhelpful. The prior owner was a wealth of knowledge with itineraries and insight.

Breakfast was certainly not a gourmet's dream and the cookies no longer exist!

If you go knowing that this is not the place it was and not expecting anything more than a room with a view, then you will be fine, but you can obtain less expensive lodging with a great view elsewhere.

“Go Nowhere Else In Sedona!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 August 2007

This is the most incredible B & B I've ever stayed at. It is one of those rare experiences when the place far exceeds the photographs. The views are impossible to describe, all a feast for the eyes and soul. It is private, warm, tastefully appointed without being too "Southwest-ish" and has 2 die for breakfasts every day with a special recipe raisin cookie for two to take along the day's adventures. You won't want to leave. It is the ONLY vacation lodging that I will return to more than once and is a reason to return to Sedona in and of itself. Don't miss this one!!! “Fantastic hostess and great view”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 July 2007

We always try to reserve a room at the Saddlerock Ranch when we visit Sedona and have stayed there several times. We now feel like family when we visit. The views are unsurpassed and the gourmet breakfasts outstanding. Fran goes out of her way to make her guests feel comfortable and at home and is always able to help you find a place to eat, shop or sightsee. She will make reservations for you if you need them.
Best of all are her two small dogs,Sundance and Cassidy. We miss our dogs when we travel and it is always a pleasure to be able to cuddle one of hers when we're there. But if dogs aren't your thing, they will stay in the private part of the house. All in all, we can't say enough about this wonderful home.

“Saddlerock Ranch What a Gem”

What a great place - on arrival for our 2 night stay at this superb historic B and B Saddlerock Ranch full of character and olde world charm we were greeted warmly by Fran and her two dogs, Cassidy and Sundance and were made to feel at home in an instant. Our suite, the saddlerock room was very clean with comfy bed and high quality linens and fantastic panoramic views of the surrounding mountain ranges. We enjoyed a sumptious breakfast on both mornings expertly prepared and presented by owner/host Fran herself, nothing was too much trouble and she delighted us with her knowledge and tales of Sedona, she was happy to give advice about dining options and even arrange reservations. The ranch itself is a dream with beautiful gardens, lovely pool, hot tub and deck area and some of the most beautiful unbelivable views in the area.

“2nd stay--Love this B&B !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 June 2007

This was our 2nd stay at Saddlerock, and it is easily one of the top Inns we have stayed at over 25+ years of extensive travel. The facility is lovely, and has the most incredible views of the red rocks.
We stayed in the same room both times-- off the front parlor with a view of the red rocks through a large picture window. It has a little fireplace, and a stained glass window in the dressing room off the beautiful tiled bath. The antique bed is so comfortable, we slept so well every night. Fran is a lovely person & wonderful hostess. The breakfasts are gourmet and very extensive. We never needed lunch ! Fran's recommendations for tours, restaurants & whatever activities you may be interested in are right on the money. With only 3 rooms, and a common breakfast table, you get to know the other guests. We had dinner with one of the other couples one night, and shared some wine poolside. The enjoyable company of the other guests, plus Fran & Brad only add to the ambience. Our 1st stay was 15 years ago, and we had always wanted to go back. We definitely won't wait another 15 years, and wouldn't consider any place other than the Saddlerock for a stay in Sedona !
