“Nice Place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

Had a great time and a nice room. We stayed in the Southwest Memories room which included a very large private terrace from which we stargazed and watched the sunrise. We were allowed, even encouraged, to peek in unoccuppied rooms and found many to have nice views as well. I found the bathrooms to be very large and the rooms sometimes a bit cramped because of the large beds. For breakfast we had poached pears, a scone and a cinamon apple french toast the first morning. The second morning we had a baked apple, pumpkin bread and huevos rancheros. Both breakfasts were yummy and filling. The common areas were large and comfortable. The lobby area was very nice and displayed a beautiful collection of Kachina dolls in small lighted alcoves in the walls. Some of the reviews rave about Robin and we found them to be absolutely true. She is very friendly, knowledgeable and fun to talk to. Make sure you have Robin reserve a table for you at the Barking Frog restaurant. I recommend this B&B to any couple.

Room Tip: Ask Robin for a recommendation. I would stay in the Southwest Memories room again, and saw several...

“Dated Rooms, Good Service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

The best asset of this B&B was Robin. She was very helpful, welcoming and went above and beyond when one of our party was sick. The room, however, was dated with a safari theme. Decor was tired. The breakfast was good.

Casa Sedona is located in a residential area with close neighbors in the front. The back yard was nice with a large hot tub that we did not use. There was a limited view from the room due to overgrown trees. Bathroom amenities were good with a separate shower and large jacuzzi tub.

This establishment needs to be updated to be worth the price.

Room Tip: Don't book the room with the big stuffed lion on the bed - unless you like big stuffed lions and...

I'm sorry this guest did not like the decor in this room. Though he mentions that the room is "dated" I must disgree. The bed is a custom hand woven coconut leaf ordered direct from Bali and is less then 2 years old and was extremely expensive. The bathroom is all tiled and travertine. The travertine was just finished about 3 months ago. I will say that the tile floor in the bathorom, although in excellent condition is scheduled to be replaced with granite (per AAA 4-Diamond regulations) as soon as the room is available to be closed for 5 days. All the furniture is in excellent condition and has been replaced over the past 3 years.
We have been AAA 4-Diamond for the past 13 years. We are inspected annually. We update every room in a rotating basis constantly. I must heartily disagree with this guest saying our "establishment" needs "updating".
Again, I'm sorry this guest did not enjoy the decor my wife used in this room.

“Wonderful place in a beautiful area”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

We spent two nights at the Casa Sedona. The inn is beautiful with excellent furnishings. We stayed in the Tripster Den, which was designed by Robert Shields (didn't know who he was, but looked him up). Although the views were for most part not spectacular, there's no reason to pay for spectacular views from the room. Sedona is so beautiful that there's little reason to spend time in the room. Our stay was not without a couple of glitches. The good part, though, is that Paul, the innkeeper immediately tried to correct them, and compensated us appropriately. The apologies were sincere. Things happen when you run a bed and breakfast. What separates the places you want to return to from the places you run away from is how the innkeeper treats you. These folks were great!
They were also extremely helpful in suggesting hikes and local attractions.
A very warm, friendly place.

Room Tip: I wouldn't pay much extra for the views, unless you plan to spend lots of time in the room.

“A True Oasis!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2012

We were traveling to Sedona with another couple, and booked at Casa Sedona online, after reading other reviews on Trip Advisor. What a good decision that was! Prior to our visit, I spoke to Robin on the phone. She was very sweet and totally knowledgeable about the inn. We booked Juniper Shadows and Moondance, which had a common terrace. The inn itself is gorgeous, and the rooms were lovely. Everything is kept so clean! Bathrooms were large, beds comfortable, and so many amenities: gas fireplace, refrigerator, flat screen TV, fluffy robes, hot tub, etc. Paul and Connie, the innkeepers were so open and friendly. The breakfasts were awesome! Robin is really a gem. She gave us information on three different hikes, with accurate directions to each trailhead. She also helped us choose dinner venues for all three nights. The atmosphere is so relaxing at the inn that we didn't want to leave. They really care about their guests and want them to have the best experience possible. We will definitely return to this oasis in Sedona.

Room Tip: Use the photos online, as they are very accurate. All the rooms are very nice, but you might ask Rob...
