“Highly recommended”

Stayed through a vacation exchange with RCI for a week at the end of January. Very nice resort, though not luxury finishes, but in very good condition. Apparently they are going to be doing some extensive upgrades to the units over the next couple years. My only complaints are that the bed was a little soft, and the shower heads were extremely loud. The pool and hot tub were nice. It's a decent location on the main road in West Sedona. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

“Very nice resort in an incredible setting.”

We stayed here for only four days at the end of January 2012, and we are planning, even now, our return trip. The area around Sedona (Red Rock Country) is some of the most stunning in the country. Every turn of the road provides another outstanding view of the rock formations, and the changing light throughout the day renders striking colors everywhere.
Wyndham Sedona, set just off the main drag in town, is a quiet, low key, resort with a very accomodating staff. We had a minor maintaince issue during our stay and no sooner had I hung up the phone with the front desk than the doorbell rang. Fixed within 5 minutes. I do not think this would happen too many other places. Our two bedroom lockoff (2 seperate units with a connecting door) had everything we could want or need for our stay.
The outdoor pool and hot tub are open 24 hours and are heated to 82 degrees. Envision 1 AM, in the hot tub toasty warm in January looking at the most stars you have ever seen in your life in a crystal clear sky. Heaven right here on earth.

Room Tip: Try to get a room number 1000-1999, because they will have the best views. And if you don't min...

“Sedona is a special place!”

This was our first trip to Sedona in the Winter. The weather was disagreeable which made us appreciate our resort even more! We could look out at the red rocks even when we couldn't hike. The rooms were very nice and comfortable. There were two couples and another that would join us from another resort. There was plentry of space to entertain and enjoy our meals. We also enjoyed shopping, a six-mile hike, our drive to Jerome and the 50's style diner in Cottonwood! We finally tried the Coffee Pot Restaurant and the breakfast was delicious. Our favorite Mexican Restaurant this trip was the Havelina Cantina--excellent! We purchased a beautiful rug from Azadi at Tlaquepaque (see Richard)! We would have enjoyed the hot tubs at the resort but it was so cold outdoors. The location of Wyndham Sedona was great!

“Nice quick retreat”

OK - we had only 2 days to spend at this resort and we are already planning our return in May. Front desk staff not warm and fuzzy - but nice enough. The room we were in was lovely - the only view was off the patio and it looked onto a street and trailer park - but It was a BEAUTIFUL unit. Glad we own here. We did not have to be bothered by being invited to the 'owners survey' since we only stayed 2 nights which was a blessing. We had a large well appointed kitchen, lovely living room and very comfy bedroom and separate tub and shower area. 5 stars - can't really rate staff as we had no interaction. had to drive to the pool area for the hot tub (cause it was cold and rainy not because we are lazy) - would not have been a problem walk at all on a nice day. We are going back! Love Sedona - not the commercialized part - but the spiritual feel of the place.

Room Tip: ask for a room with a view of the mountains - everything else was wonderful

“The staff here needs to train other Wyndam employees!”

I now understand why this resort wins the "crystal pineapple" award! Their customer service was 5 star all the way! We arrived a little early, they told us the unit was being inspected by quality assurance, but we could hang around the pool, or go across the street to get some grocery items, and they would call us when the unit was ready. I can't tell you how many times we've been told this, but the phone never rings! We had not been gone 10 minutes and my phone rang! Our unit was ready! We were allowed to check in at 1:30 pm! This has never happened before! And they had a free BBQ around the pool! They were not pushy about attending an "update" meeting. The unit was spotless. We had a beautiful view of the red rocks from our huge balcony. They do not have elevators, so if that's a problem, request the first floor, if available. Even the maintenance staff spoke and were very friendly. We left our room one day walking to the pool, one of the workers name Dennis stopped his golf cart and offered us a ride to the pool! They had complimentary SPF 30 sunscreen at the pool. It's probably not what I would call "kid friendly" ... We loved it! It was a very quiet crowd! We hope to visit again soon!

Room Tip: If you have trouble with stairs, call ahead and see if you can request a room on the first floor.
