This is our third time staying at the Matterhorn Inn in Sedona because we just love it!

Can't beat the uptown location; within walking distance to restaurants, shops, galleries and the views of the Red Rocks are incredible! Big picture window and a balcony to sit and enjoy the beauty.

The rooms are squeaky clean (a MUST!) and comfortably furnished with attention to small details like extra pillows & blankets in the closet, in room coffee, hair dryers, in room fridge, etc. Those few extra touches that make you feel welcome and at home. And...free in room Wi-Fi. This time we were in Room #38 which was nice & roomy with a comfortable king bed and good sized flat screen TV.

Although the pool was closed (it's December)...the pool/jacuzzi area looks really nice. Overall the entire property is always beautifully kept, nice grounds, great curb appeal and it's apparent that the owner/managers continually maintain and update this property.

Adding all of this to the friendly front desk staff (this time Amber checked us in and she was just darling...even turned the heat on in the room ahead of our arrival because it was chilly :)) and rates at 1/2 the price of other hotels in the area...the Matterhorn Inn just can't be beat!

My sister and I stayed here for 2 nights. Loved the location, and especially loved the view from the balcony in the morning! The staff were exceptionally friendly, and the rooms were great. The bed was very comfortable, one of the best I've slept in whilst away from home. Due to its location we were able to stroll easily around the Downtown area of Sedona and walk to dinner every night. It was also a pleasant walk to Tlaquepaque (apologies if I have spelt that incorrectly!) If you do head that way, make sure you stop in at the Oak Creek Brewery! Great beer, great food and great staff!

The only negative thing I have to say about this motel was I was not happy having to lug our suitcases up a flight of stairs.

The Matterhorn is pretty much a basic motel property, but it's very clean, has incredible views of the red rocks in Sedona and is in a great location to walk the main street of Sedona and visit the many nice shops located there.

The price was reasonable and they had free wi-fi available for guests.

I would certainly stay again if I were in the area.

Our second stay. This is in the center of town with great red-rock views, and all kinds of stores and restaurants close by and walkable. It is priced at half what other nearby hotels charge. It is very clean. The rooms are well furnished, with comfortable beds. Our room had an arm chair, a table and two side chairs, and a large LCD TV, and a fridge. The bathroom in miniscule, but has a full size tub. Nice balcony to drink in the world-class views. We booked on-line at the hotel web site, with no problem. The front desk was friendly and helpful. Everything about this place is clean and well maintained; the maid service was excellent. It has a pool and spa for summertime. A definite find in pricey Sedona!
