Spent 4 nights here in early December, 2 nights in a king corner suite and 2 nights in a queen suite. It’s a little out from the primary tourist shopping district and commercial development, but still pretty close, in case you are there to shop. I was in the area to hike and the hotel is not too far from many trailheads, e.g., 5-10 miles to a variety of hikes.
Pros:
Both the king corner and the queen suites are spacious, lots of room. Each had a wet bar (fridge, micro, sink, coffee maker), which was handy for keeping food and drinks. In the queen suite, the sleeping area is separated from the sitting area by the wet bar.
The rooms were clean, comfortable. The king suite was on the ground floor, landscaped but no views from the room, even though they called it a view room; could see shrubs, then traffic intersection. The queen suite was on the second floor and had a nice view.
The breakfast included hot items eggs, sausage links, waffles, real oatmeal (not instant); usual cereal, bread, bagels pastry, good amount of seating area.
The concierge was very helpful in recommending trails, and the staff was generally nice, helpful.
Internet access in the room was easy to connect and always worked.
Cons:
In both rooms, there was a lot of noise from street, people outside, and in room above; have to run the fan to drown out noise.
Heat/air unit is noisy.
The couch in the queen suite had very saggy cushions.
Fitness room is pathetic; a weight machine and one flimsy elliptical. Also the room was really cold, with the thermostat set at 50.
Both the in-room coffee and breakfast coffee are pretty bad; if you are staying for a few days, consider bringing your own.
The website advertises a guest laundry, which was important to me because I was staying several days, but it was not available. I got different answers depending on who I asked – that it was out of order or being remodeled or something.
Other:
Pool looks nice but I didn’t use it.
Hot tub nice, maybe too hot. right at entry of hotel and not well screened from in and out traffic.
They allow dogs and sometimes I could hear barking, but in general the people make more noise than the animals.
Overall, I like the hotel and would probably stay here again if I were in the area. It was a good base of operations for my hiking adventures in the area. Also a very good value for the price, especially since I got an internet rate for booking directly with the hotel’s website.
Room Tip: get a room away from the street.

Thank you for staying with us and taking the time now to share your thoughts. These are so valuable in helping us improve our product and service. I was especially glad to hear you enjoyed our room amenities, breakfast and location. All of Sedona is 5 miles long which makes everything within about 10 minutes drive. We are also one of the closest hotels to the Seven Canyons hiking and biking areas. Our goal when we built the hotel was to get a little out of the hustle and bustle of uptown and it has been a positive point for guests thus far. Regarding your comment about the gym, we wanted to let you know that for a nominal fee we do offer a discounted pass to a facility right down the street if you desire more than we currently offer. As a result of your comments, we’re looking into how we can do better about letting guests know as well as scouting options for property improvements.
And lastly, yes, book directly with the hotel for the best rates. Either jump to the specials page on our website or call us (800-353-1239) and we will give you the very best rate available.
Thank you again for your feedback and we hope you will visit again soon!
