We called Rodeway Of Sedona in route . Was informed we would have a suite. and have a Red Rock veiw. the forward us to Choice Hotels for the reservation. They took card info and confirmed our room. 620 miles one way one day.. We arrived found our room had no veiw. next to ice machine. Room was dank musty and cold. Broken Heater. and Bed was hard as a Brick. Asked for another room. Was told it had no lock. Asked for a refund was told Choice had to assist in this. 6 hrs back and forth. Finding out. Rodeway tagged my card. called back in am. Call was screened 20 minute before Sharon Admits to being Manager. They refused to refund. us. We did not stay. We found however Best Western for and extra 30 dollars and Panaranmic Red Rock view from our room Pillowtop Beds. Recent remoulding. Great Anmientys and good breakast . Staff was very helpful and had good knowledge of area.

This could have been a very nice 1 year anniversary for my son and his wife. Instead Susan the property manager ruined the 1 day stay in Sedona by greeting my son and his wife as an argumentative rude and inconsiderate witch. It started the day prior when my son called me attempting to book a hotel online. He had some troubles so asked for my help. I use choice hotels and felt confident I could book a last minute reasonably price hotel. I checked my points and was 3000 points short of a reward night stay. A call to choice hotels seemed the right move. I was told I could buy the needed 3000 points and use them the next day. I don't care for the rodeway chain and never stay at their properties. There rates were higher that the high class Sedona resorts so using points was the only good thing. The choice hotels agent told me too book at the dollar rate ($200.00) and call back the next day and change to reward points (20000) stay. Wrong advice. Shame on me I trusted the agent knew what he was saying. I made the reservation. Called the next day as suggested and was told I couldn't because the change period had expired. Talked to 2 agents got the same story. Each called the hotel explaining what happened. Each was told only Susan could approve the change. I was assured by choice hotels this would work out fine but had to call when Susan was at work . Susan showed up for work 2 hours later than her employees said she would. By this time my son was waiting for her. He called me explaining Susan would not make the change. A quick check of my bank account showed I had already been charged $206. I asked to speak to Susan with hope she was a reasonable person. I was wrong. Dead wrong. She was rude. My son said while talking to me she mocked me with gestures to employees which included the middle finger being displayed. I kindly asked for what choice hotels told me I would get as service but quickly realized as Susan was short and argumentative that customer service was not her specialty . I have filed a complaint with choice hotels. I hope Susan gets counseling and dicsiplinary action from the property owner. I am also filing a complaint with choice hotels regarding the miss handling of my reservation . My son was so upset he didn't want to stay at the property. Susan ruined the anniversary. It would have been so easy to make this work and be polite. Shame on you Susan. Wicked witch of Sedona .

My husband and I spent a night here on a road trip through Arizona. The room was okay. Quite big, had a fridge and was clean. The bed was not particularly comfortable, but it was fine for 1 night. As for location, it was fantastic. Just up the block from the main strip of stores and restaurants in Sedona. Very convenient. There was also a small hot tub outside that was nice for a quick dip at the end of the night. For the price, it was a decent place to stay. And Sedona is just beautiful!

Here for a two night stay in November just to see the sights. Room is a large efficiency with separate bedroom, plenty of storage.
The room is dated but clean. Big gap under the door and cheap windows make for a lot of outside noise infiltration. Our air and heat works pretty well and is quiet but the neighbors is not. It vibrates so much I thought it was ours. Just a minor annoyance.
The hot water runs out if you take too long in the shower. The room has its own heater and it is only six gallon so you have to be brief.
