“Excellent service, large rooms, gourmet breakfasts”

SERVICE: From the time we made reservations to the time we left, they advised us on restaurants, things to do and how to get there. Every morning over breakfast, the host talked to every table and gave advice on things to do and how to get there. I've never received such great service at a bed and breakfast!
ROOMS: We had casita room #10. It had a living area, separate bedroom and small kitchen in addition to a fireplace. We could've stayed here a month!
BREAKFASTS: They have a hard working staff that cooks and serves a gourmet breakfast, then they clean your room. All of this is done with a smile!
COMMON AREAS: They have a lovely pool and hot tub along with an outdoor fireplace. There are many other quiet spots where you could lay in a hammock and read a book.
While we are not serious hikers, there is a nice and easy trail directly accross the street. This, as well as the inn, offers great views of the red rocks. We also walked the neighborhood adjacent to the inn.

“Great place!”

We loved this place. The room was well furnished and clean. And the view of the "red rocks" from our patio was tremendous. It's in a quiet area, but is also very close to good restaurants and anything else you might want. One of the best things this place has going for it is the staff. Everyone, and I mean " everyone", was extremely friendly, helpful, and "laid back.". It all made for an exceptionally enjoyable stay, and we will definitely recommend Sunset Chateau to all our friends and relatives.

Room Tip: Rooms 18-22 had great views. Don't know about the others.

“A lovely place to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 October 2011

We stayed for 2 nights here and it was indeed a lovely setting for our stay in Sedona. The room (23) was excellent, clean and tidy and nicely decorated. A nice kitchen area and bathroom and a superb veranda to watch the sunsets over the red rocks. The only down side for us was the breakfasts. If you don't like spinach and hollandaise sauce poured over your breakfast you are out of luck. There was no other choice. We felt quite embarrassed by it all and hence we didn't go back the next morning. We had to go else where for our breakfast so that was a big disappointment. Another small problem was the gas water heater in the room seemed to heat next doors water as well, so at 12 midnight it tends to wake you up when next door has a shower or bath... Apart from that our stay was very enjoyable.... will we return? Probably not. But overall, a very nice place to enjoy Sedona.

Room Tip: Number 23 is very quiet and more private than the rest I think.

“Truly a HOME base, with character”

We can heartily recommend this lovely B&B. The accommodations are very nice and the grounds are delightful. It is eclectic at many turns, but always tasteful and artistic. The quiet and the privacy of the location were just what we needed for our two week stay. Each day we would enjoy a delightful breakfast and then head out to discover the wonders of Arizona. The pool, jacuzzi and the quiet of the evening were a welcome break from the busy days. We loved the fact that just a few steps away was the start of a trail system the allowed you to have an early morning walk and climb that gave you some spectacular views of Sedona and the land beyond. There were different levels of challenge so if you just wanted a simple climb and walk, that was available too. The staff, to a person, were friendly, interested and always responsive to your questions or needs. We met people from all over the world who stopped at the Sunset Chateau for different periods of time. Everyone appeared delighted with the cozy, quiet nature of the Inn. If you're going to Sedona, check them out. Their prices are very competitive and if you're looking for something other than a motel or resort this is perfect. Two thumbs up!

“We loved it!”

We will think of this as the best part of our Sedona, Vegas, Grand Canyon 2011 trip. The Casitas were better than expected, we loved having our own patios ( rooms 18 and 19). The view was spectacular! Super super clean. Comfy bed, great efficiency kitchen where we could keep our snacks & spirits. The owner, John, was friendly and extremely helpful. He was never too busy to help us decide on which trail to hike or which restaurant to try for our meals. The staff seem happy to be there, always smiling. John was the ultimate host, booking our Tours for us, sharing funny stories about some of the eccentric people Sedona tends to attract, and indulging one of our friends with his special requests. All with a smile. We really enjoyed this stay! Thank you for a great time!
