Fairly typical for the most part. The hotel is nice and in a decent location. The room and beds are all in good shape and comfy. The only issue I had with the room was the air conditioner, which had a very strong, very loud fan tha required me to turn up the volume on the TV three times as much as what the level was for normal listening. Aside from this, I had no complaints with the hotel or the staff.

I'm not much on leaving reviews but my experience here was great, so I.have to share it. I had checked into another hotel down the road, what a mistake. It was so dirty that I left immediately. I was trying to find another place when I saw a small sign on Scottsdale rd for the holiday inn express. The staff were professional and actually cared. I was angry when I arrived, but they had me laughing by the time they handed me they keys.

The room was clean, comfortable and the internet worked. That and the breakfast in the morning, it was everything I needed. The manager even made a point of talking to me in the morning to apologize about my experience either the other hotel. Now that is service.

Stayed here for our first night after arriving at PHX for a trip around N. AZ from the UK. The reception was fast and friendly and the room was comfortable, even though we only stayed one night. It was great to be able to take breakfast outside on our first morning in Arizona.
Thanks to the staff (can't remember names, sorry) who helped locate an article we left behind in the room after checking out. I rang later in that day, they found the article and it was waiting for us to collect when we passed back through Scottsdale on our way back 2 weeks later.
