The location is great, within walking distance of Scottsdale Old Town, and several family restaurants. The rate is good and there's free wifi, plus coffee is available most of the time, and there's a sort of breakfast. One thing to beware of: when you sign in, the desk staff will not tell you that you will be charged a daily rate for use of the in-room safe. I stayed there a week and got an extra charge for the safe not at the time I checked out, but two days later, when it suddenly appeared on my credit card bill. Plus tax. It's a small thing, but it ruined the benign asect of the stay, since one hates to get a sneaky fee added to your credict card bill days after the fact. I called up and the staff member was unapologetic. Probably most people don't notice these things.

Recently went to Old Town Scottsdale to visit some family and stayed at the Comfort Suites. While there are a lot newer hotels close by, the rate we got was way better, and since we were spending most of the time with family opted for the cheaper choice. Yes the hotel could do with some renovations, overall it was clean and the staff were very friendly. The hotel is located within walking distance to lots of great restaurants and attractions. Would stay there again as I found it to be a good value.

Came in late last night (11/23/11) and was pleasantly greeted. The room was spacious and clean. Beds were amazingly comfortable. After 6 1/2 hours on the road from Vegas Thanksgiving eve with a 4 and 6 year old... I was so tired of being on the road I couldn't have cared less how the room was (because I would have just given it them on Trip Advisor the later on this week if they would have disappointed) BUT I'm happy to advise this is well worth the stay.

(Side note, I wanted to personally go upstairs and discipline the child in the room on the floor directly above us this morning when they were stomping up and down and throwing a tantrum about their "bracelet"... but that has absolutely no reflection on the hotel whatsoever and therefore... Comfort Suites Old town gets 4 thumbs up (between my husband and I).

Side note 2... I wasn't looking forward to the hotel because of the pictures... and it's "old town" style but it looks much better in person.

This hotel is within a short walk to old town Scottsdale and a short drive to the great shopping of the Scottsdale Fashion Square. Rooms are nice sized with king bed, separate sitting area and fridge/microwave area. Beds were comfortable and halls quiet. The morning breakfast was very nice, clean and food was good. Coffee was provided in the lobby during the day and evening and was replenished as necessary.

This is a good property for the price in a nice location. There are several newer hotels nearby, but this one had far better pricing and we felt it provided an excellent value.
