This is an older motel which is clean, convenient, and convenient in an otherwise over priced city. However...
* our room had the loudest heating system I've ever experienced in a hotel
* the room was a double with 2 different height and firmness beds, flimsy blanket, old matresses
* our room was supposed to have a refridgerator and microwave, we had to call the main desk to have them delivered
***the room smelled of cigaret smoke. There are no signs asking smokers to stay away from the building if they need to smoke. The guy on the floor above us stood on his balcony to smoke and there were butts laying around.

The Travelodge was so conveniently located to everything that we were looking to do in Scottsdale. Eat at good restaurants, enjoy the nightlife, and shop! We walked everywhere, and nothing was too far!
The room was spacious and clean, and I would stay here again in a heartbeat. We also got a discount for booking 3+ nights, which made it an even better deal!

Watch out Motel 6. This Travelodge has better rates right now, summer 2011, nicer pool, double the room size, upscale appointments, and a location that can not be beat. Plus, small pets stay free.
Ok, so the walking room on the grounds for your dog are a bit sparse, but they are shaded. Front desk person at 3:30 on the 15th was excellent. Free continental breakfast and newspaper. Join the rewards club. Do not book on Expedia, go to the Travelodge site and see even better rates for AAA and AARP. I paid $35.
Five Ave shops and cafes as well as Old Town are within walking distance.
Get here now as you know how people can treat a motel, especially since the rooms look remodeled and are so nice.
Ok, the outside carpet and some areas need to be picked up a bit, but who cares. The rooms are great. FREE Wi-Fi.

The new staff, rooms and pool were amazing. I visited the Travelodge Scottsdale last year and barely recognized the place. It is a completely different hotel and our stay was fabulous!!
