“Comfortable, Classy Place to Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012 via mobile

A bunch of my buddies and I stayed here for a Bachelor Party weekend and we were impressed with the resort. The villas are big enough to sleep 6-8 people and come with a full kitchen, Bose surround sound, nice bathrooms, and so on. I stayed in a regular room with double beds. The bed was comfortable. They had great beer specials all weekend to include the nice poolside bar. I wish it were a little warmer because the pool looked really nice. The only negative I have to say is that I felt that we were far away from a lot of things. We went to the Phoenix open which required a cab ride as well as Oldtown Scottsdale which was a cab ride away.

Thank you for selecting our resort for this special occasion and for this very favorable review. Although the Waste Management Phoenix Open is held a bit too far north for our van service, we do provide complimentary transportation to Scottsdale Old Town as well as all the shopping, restaurants and lounges in a two mile radius of the resort. Don't wait for the next bachelor's party to come see us again. Best wishes to the bride and groom.

“Save yourself the headache!”

Winter prices in Scottsdale are quite a bit higher so we bid on a "4 star" hotel on priceline.com hoping to stay at a nice resort for a reasonable price. Never. Again. The outside looks like it will be a really nice place. The inside is a different story. It smelled of stale smoke and mildew. Our first room (we moved 4 times) was just okay. Not a place I want to hang out in. Old decor, old carpet, old ceiling and caked with dust in vents. The ceiling leaked water after showering. The worst part is the walls are PAPER THIN. We were awakened to the sound of a shrieking baby next door that lasted ALL morning, hence the first move (so 2 of our mornings were ruined by crying baby, no sleeping in) The 2nd room the AC shut on and off every couple minutes and wouldn't let us choose to run the fan constantly to drown out noise. We moved due to a drunk couple fighting next door at 1 in the morning, in which they moved us 3 rooms down and we could still hear them in addition to also not being able to run the fan. So back to our original room at 2 am and the receptionist was not sympathetic or nice about it. We just want to sleep...too much to ask? So crying baby was the lesser of 2 evils. The bathroom...so small you are climbing over the toilet to get to the shower. And forget more than 1 person getting ready at a time. My husband and I had to turn sideways to pass each other going in and out of bathroom. The website advertised $239 + prices... Really? Priceline was $109 and had I known how awful it was I would've gladly paid double to stay somewhere else. Don't let the Hilton name fool you into thinking it is nice. Do not stay here, save yourself the headache!

Room Tip: Pick a different hotel.

We appreciate your business and this feedback. We apologize for the headaches you experienced during your stay with us. We have been remodeling our guest rooms, with new carpet, vinyl, ceilings and furnishings, however, this work is in process and we still have 36 more to complete. Unfortunately, you were in one of those not yet completed and had a lot of commotion and noise around it. We will address the lack of care at the front desk but to follow up on the specific room issues, I will need more information. If you could be so kind to contact me directly, we can address those issues and try to make amends. Despite this, I do hope that you will return again to experience this new product and so that we can show you these headaches are the exception, not the rule at the Hilton Scottsdale Resort & Villas.

“Fantastic convention”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2012

This Hotel boasts an excellent staff. They are courteous, friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, the restaurant had a great breakfast buffet, a wonderful poolside bar and the convention rooms were excellent. The fitness building was very well done, complete with steam rooms up stairs. The property is large and sprawling, but, it was easy to get around, and the grounds were very clean and neat. I highly recommend this Hilton for business meetings, however, it would also be a great place for a family. The pool is large, it includes a kids pool and a hot tub. The Villas are amazing, I didn't stay in one, but, I was able to visit a friend and they are very comfortable and would be worth the extra $$. There was also a business center that some collegues used, I observed 4-6 computers in there.

We appreciate you and your convention being with us to experience at that our resort has to offer. Thank you for this very positive review and such high ratings. I do hope that you will be able to return to our area again soon, on business or for vacation, and this time also experience one of our Villas for yourself. They are 1600-1800 square feet, with two bedrooms each with their own bathroom, full kitchen, laundry, dining and living rooms and a private patio. They are perfect for a family vacation. Thank you again.

“Repeat Performance”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

For the second year in a row, the Scottsdale Hilton met and exceeded all expectations. I am a Hilton Diamond Member and this property, especially the Casitas (or Villas), are outstanding. I would like to especially commend Edward La Joy, who is in charge of the Bell Staff. Flemings is great steak house (with wonderful wine selections) and the pool bar with extended hours is delicious, convinient and fun. Location is perfect.

I highly recommend

Room Tip: Villas are spacious, quiet, clean, modern, and make for a great experience.

“Villas are nice for families, hotel mostly used for meetings”

Nice if you have group. The restaurants and bars are rather bland. The Flemmings in the same location is a nice alternative.

Thank you for being our guest and this review. Although we do group business, we actually do considerable leisure and corporate business as well. Guests love that our meeting rooms are separated from our guest room wings, the courtyard pool complete with Oasis Bar and our new menus just completed in our BlueFire Grill. As you mention, we are very lucky to have "Flemings" as part of our resort, located off our lobby. I would also wholeheartedly agree that our Villas are the best accommodations for families in the area. I hope you will come visit us again soon and let us show you we are for much more than meetings.
