My children (ages 10 and 7) and I visited in January for a long weekend and had a great time as always. We hadn't been there in a few years so it was nice to see the units remodeled. We stayed in a Premium 1Bedroom in Bldg 3 (balcony overlooked the golf course) and it was close to the pool. We only stayed 4 nights but used the washer/dryer (which is one feature I absolutely love!!) and the fireplace (it was a little chilly at night). The resort was very low key (not alot of guests) so my kids felt like they owned the place and enjoyed playing with the large chess set, ping pong table, and putting green. The slide at the pool was a big hit and they loved The Villas pool so much they didn't feel the need to go to the Hotel pools. We used the shuttle (another great feature) and went to dinner at the Kierland Commons and I went to lunch with a friend while the Kids enjoyed the Kids Club. Great staff - from concierge (Heather) to ALL the Kids Club staff, Market Staff, Front Dest Staff, etc. The Kids Club staff painted our bathtub before we arrived and the kids thought that was awesome! From the full kitchen (Trader Joe's, Costco nearby) to the awesome shower, Westin Heavenly bed (we love the bed so much we bought one several years ago) I can't say enough great things about the units themselves. We visited the Market several times for Starbucks and ice cream and one night we even bought a rotisserie chicken. Although this was more of a kids' vacation, there are so many other things to do for adults. (i.e., Adult pool, wine tasting, Spa, "unwind" hour at Deseo, etc. etc). Be happy to share other details if you're interested.
