first time to AZ.........great parking, great staff, pool and hot tub is great, managers happy hour each evening includes wine, beer, chili. nachos and a few other items, that can be..a few nights we stayed in for that instead of going out...clean rooms and just a nice place to call home while there.....most of all close to EVERTHING.....across the street from a Barrett Jackson outlet.....SAFE SAFE SAFE in every manner. Oh and the breakfast has eggs, bisquits and that white gravy,,,,oh yeah

back after 5 years and this hotel is still as good a choice as any in scottsdale.quiet,safe,easy walk to the old town and fashion sq etc.plenty of parking,managers reception which is good for meeting other guests after a few beers!!. breakfast more than adaquate.rooms perfectly fine.so no complaints and highly recommended.

We have just spent Christmas and New Year in Arizona and stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Scottsdale at the beginning and end of our trip. This was the fourth time we have stayed at this hotel and it just gets better and better. The team that run the hotel do everything possible to make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible from the moment you arrive on their complimentary airport shuttle through the HIE breakfast, Manager's Reception and milk and cookies in the evening. The rooms are spacious and the cheerful nature of everyone you come across makes your stay a pleasure. Old Town Scottsdale is not that far away if you want a shopping experience (try The Sugar Bowl for a retro lunchtime experience) or the shuttle will take you to attractions like Phoenix Zoo and the Desert Botanical Gardens - both are well worth a visit. On a more practical note they have a small shop stocked with snacks etc, a coin operated laundry on each floor and there is a bank opposite. If you don't have your own transport, the shuttle will take you to local eating places and collect you after your meal. Rooms have small fridges and a microwave and the most comfortable bed we slept in during our four weeks in the US. We have stayed in many hotels in the IHG group and this is one of the very best - they could certainly teach their counterparts in the UK a lesson in hospitality. This is our 3rd time staying here at this Holiday Inn Express in Scottsdale. It is in a great location, near the Fashion Square Mall, yeah! Plenty of eatings places nearby, too. We always get a suite 'cos I like to be able to spread out with my hubby, like the separate sitting area. If he wants to watch something else then he can in one room while I watch what I want in the other room. There are actual glass doors you can close, great. The room is always nice & clean. For the price, it can't be beat. And they also have complimentary drinks in the evening along with cookies, yum.
