“Golden Getaway for Sliver Anniversary”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 February 2011

From the moment my bride opened the door to "The Hideout," we were entranced and overjoyed by every aspect throughout the next 4 days and 5 nights of our stay. Billy and Johnny, the owners and hosts, made us feel like visiting guests rather than customers. The huge and lavishly appointed Hideout is part Old West bawdy-house, part honeymoon suite. The removed location was ultra-quiet, and the night sky viewed from atop the rooftop walkway adjoining the Hideout and the owners' home was planetarium-brilliant. The in-room breakfast was tasty, creative and unobtrusively served. The exclusive use of the waterfall pool and heated whrilpol sauna provided relaxing and romantic conclusions to busy days sightseeing the uniquely well-preserved Old West city of Cave Creek or hiking on Pinnacle Peak. A grand and memorable stay. We'll be back!

“Wow, the best B&B experience we've ever had!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 February 2011

My wife and I always look for a B&B instead of a hotel for a getaway. So, we've stayed in a lot of them throughout the country. The experience at a B&B is a combination of things: how nice the room is, how welcome the hosts make you feel, the setting, service... etc. This place has it all. Johnny and Billie treated us as though we were the only guests they had ever had. The room and views were spectacular. The setting was beautiful (dramatic pool and hottub with waterfall, etc).

The only thing to keep in mind (which we liked) was that this B&B is out in the desert a bit - with a short drive down some dirt roads. You will have a 30 minute drive to towns like Cave Creek and Scottsdale. As I say, we liked this aspect but others might not.

Overall... WOW. It's great.

“WOW HOW TO BE SPOILED!!”

We have traveled quite a bit but never has someone gone so far out of their way to accommodate us like Billy & Johnny did. The Hideout is so clean, always fresh food when you return from an outing, impeccable views, so quiet and the BATHTUB!! Oh my god, the big red bathtub (I could have stayed there the whole time). I can't say enough about the Hideout & Billy & Johnny. We can't wait to go back!! One last thing, the owners, Billy & Johnny, are such great people, so friendly & helpful. THANKS

“Simply Amazing!!”

My wife and I stayed at the Redbuck Ranch on one night of our honeymoon and it was simply incredible. The room was just amazing with so much character and charm. The bed was great and had a tv mounted on the ceiling so you could cuddle, watch a movie and.....
The fride was stocked, you can order pizza and breakfast is served the next morning. The views are just amazing and my personal favorite part was the hotub with a push-button waterfall you can control, never seen that before.
The staff is simply amazing, very friendly and helpful, but definitely give you your privacy as well. We were only there one night, but wish we could've stayed longer. When we stayed, a new house was under construction so an entire family could stay there, so if that's been completed, would be a great place to take your family. We didn't get to ride horses or golf since we didn't stay long, but wish we could've had time to do that. My wife and will definitely go back and would highly recommend the Red Buck Ranch to anyone who wants luxury and relaxation.

“Perfect: Relaxing, secluded, romantic, and unmatched hospitality”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 May 2010

I can't wait to return to Redbuck Ranch. Billie and Johnny are the definition of hospitality. The room (a small apartment, really) is perfect, with a big red tub in the bathroom(and bubblebath!), a comfortable couch for watching movies, and a heavenly feathertop bed. The views are amazing from every window. McDowell Mountain Park and Pinnacle Peak minutes away for a walk/ hike, horseback riding just down the road.... But why would you leave? The balcony is great for grilling and relaxing over dinner. The pool has a great waterfall and the spa is delightful.

Privacy is heavily emphasized; at the same time, Billie and Johnny are available fro any need or whim you may think of. Breakfast is simple- bagels or banana bread and fruit and yogurt and juice left in your fridge in a big basket the day/ evening before, so when you wake up the next day, you make your coffee/ tea and sit out on the balcony and have breakfast as you see fit, in your PJs (no one can see you :) ) One day, you get a "cowboy breakfast", which I recommend eating by the pool, with Johnny's homemade fluffy biscuits, Billie's homemade bread, fruit compote and some sort of egg creation. Delicious!

Get your groceries on the way- once you're there you won't want to venture out. There is an AJ's grocery store about 15 minutes away. Walgreen's is just a quick drive down the road as needed.

TIP: In the same complex as Walgreen's is a wine/pizza/salad/sandwich place called Rare Earth. Has a great balcony for relaxing and having wine and DELICIOUS pizza. Great happy hour!! I have heard great things about Painted Horse Cafe, also in that same complex, but we did not try it.

Just book it; you will LOVE it.
