“Navajoland Inn”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 November 2007

For the $49.95 price offered per night, this economy, motel was sufficient. There is nothing spectacular about this motel especially since Day's Inn franchise isn't affliated with this motel anymore. It is independent motel with no affliation to any or all national chain hotel/motel outlets.

I would hate to pay more than $50.00 per night but considering in light of November 23rd holiday season and winter temps., this is not the tourist season for the Navajo land area.

I imagine because of the tourist season in the summer, the price to this motel can jump as high as $100.00!

Stay here but don't expect any 4 or 3 star treatment....the advantage is your across the parking lot from the Denny's chain restaraunt and this is only 1 of 2 motels in the WIndow Rock area.

My husband and I enjoyed the indoor jacuzzi & pool. We also did our laundry there and we took advantage of the wireless internet. The motel/hotel staff made us feel welcome and it was sure nice to have Denny's restaurant across the parking lot too.

“Wild Dogs”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2007

The rooms were fine here, and there just aren't many hotels in this area. However, there were stray dogs that roamed the property, in fact they were all over the reservation. Mostly they would just come up and beg for food, but it sure didn't seem safe. At one point I wanted to leave the room only to find one of these dogs sitting on my doorstep for about 30 minutes. I waited until it left before hurrying out the door. After doing some further research, it seems dog bites are a real problem on the reservation. Unless they take care of this problem, I wouldn't stay here again.

“An above average Days Inn”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 June 2004

If you want to stay in St. Michaels, I think this Days Inn is your only choice of motels. I couldn't tell if the Inn was new or recently remodeled, but it was definitely in better shape than most in this chain. The staff at the front desk were pleasant and helpful, and the room was clean. The indoor pool and spa area were in good shape. Like most Days Inns, this one suffers from a lack of good craftsmanship during its construction. I could barely close the door in the bathroom without hitting the front of the commode and the floor tile was cracked and creaking because they probably installed it without underlayment. There is a Denny's restaraunt in the front parking lot where we ate our meals, and that might be the only nearby choice for food. I got the impression that the management and staff at the motel were dedicated to providing the best service and value possible, given that their establishment is a Days Inn and not a Courtyard by Marriott or a Hampton Inn.
