This motel is not as bad as it looks from the street. It is over-rated in two prior reviews. However, the rooms are nice, neat and clean. You can stay there O.K., if necessary. There is only one other choice in town, Budget Hotel, nearby, which looks better from the road, but is very close to that mainstreet. This is Highway 180/60, a rather noisy street when lound vehilces pass, such as many trucks, motorcycles, revving cars and cars with high AMP speakers. Many of the rooms of this Days Inn are also too near this road, but you can get a quiet room in a building in back of the building that contains the motel office. It blocks the street noise. They kept trying to give me one of these noisy rooms, although there were very few other guests. The included breakfast was substandard. It also apparently ran out of items that we too would have liked. Not many guests there and they still put too little out. The room microwave is most important in Sundays. Bring food you like for Sunday and a microwave cooking pot, utensils, and plates. Everything in town is closed, except a food mart in a gas station. There you can get pizza and the usual kind of gas station survival stuff. Contrary to a prior review, we did not have to compete with hords of people trying to get in to that Days Inn. We might stay there again if we we had to stay overnight in St. Johns on the way somewhere else. St. Johns is a rather nice very small town, with little attraction for tourists.
