Always check the room first! We stayed here several years ago with no issues other then tight limited parking. First discovered the microware was not working and while sitting and eating a cold dinner notice the very dirty carpet and tile. I later found a large dark stain on side of bedspread and cracked lamp shade. At 1:00 A.M. I had to call operator because of a loud argument outside my door. The seat in the shower wobbled. Upon checking out I voiced my complaint. The owner not only refused a refund or credit by said he was an attorney and welcomed a law suit. I can only guess that most who stay here never return.

I often stay here when I'm in Prescott so I know what (and what not) to expect. It is a good value for the area, the rooms are always clean, the staff is always pleasant and helpful. Two of the biggest drawbacks is that it doesn't have an elevator and the breakfast is quite skimpy, but they do have decaf coffee and I always buy something to eat at Safeway which is nearby. I don't like the safe charges, which I often forget about untiil I have checked out. It irritates me because this is the only hotel I have stayed at that does this, and you have to tell them when you check in that you will not be using the safe so they don't add that charge. It's convenient to downtown Prescott and I like staying in the pines which surround the hotel.

Nothing special here, but it is a clean and comfortable place to stay in the Prescott area. It is well located in the Ponderosa pines and quite near downtown. Adequate breakfast items, but served in a too-small space.

We recently stayed at the Comfort Inn at Ponderosa Pines and have no complaints. The room was quite large and included a small kitchen. The hotel had a very nice setting up in the woods. The breakfast was typical for a Comfort Inn.

At the same time there wasn't anything special about this hotel. It was an older hotel. The pool was microscopic. And there wer a lot of steps.

Would we stay here again? Probably, but I'd try some of the other hotels first.
