“Very quiet, great nights sleep.”

Went to spend Thaksgiving with my sister. The resort is in their hometown. I did a timeshare exchange through interval. It is basic, but comfortable. We stayed in the double wide trailers. They had a nice indoor pool, raquet ball court, pool table and ping pong table. They have a nice mini golf on the property. The weight room was lacking. My wife got locked out of the room one night and the front desk closes at 7PM. One of the staff came from their house to let her in.

Room Tip: All of the timeshare rooms are exactly the same.

“Great place!”

My husband, daughter, and her three children (ages 20 mo.s to 10 years) stayed at PVC at The Roundhouse Resort for two nights in mid-October. We were very pleasantly surprised to see the spacious two bedroom, two bath log-sided modular 'cabin'. It had 3 huge TVs, and the kitchen was beautiful and huge. The dining room table was big enough for all 6 of us to sit at, and a great location for games, cards, crafts etc.. Some past reviews panned the fact that this wasn't a 'true' log cabin, but quite frankly, we really appreciated how modern, spacious and clean our home was, and the fact it was in a beautiful, pine-filled area made it even better. We really enjoyed the huge indoor pool, and the small mini-golf area, too. We will stay here again, for sure, especially if we are able to get the fabulous deal we did on line.

Room Tip: Try to choose a cabin that's not right on the road.

“Great stay! Will definitely stay again...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 October 2011

This was our first time staying here. First of all, let me start out by saying, these "vacation cabins" are totally separate from the "Roundhouse Resort" although they are on the same property and share the same entrance. We reserved our cabin thru hotelsl.com and got a great internet rate. We checked in with Karen who was very nice and even called us to make sure all was ok. We had cabin #11 which is right on the main road and at the entrance. No noise from the road, no one on the other side/pivate/nice! This was a 2 bed/2 bath cabin, living room, open dining room, complete kitchen with everything you need. Complimentary coffee, tea, hot chocolate, even a washer/dryer. TV's in LR and bedrooms. Electric fireplace in the LR. Lots of skylights. Spa tub was amazing - make sure to utilize it - very relaxing. It was very nice. Guests are welcome to use the rec center, but we did not, although we did play miniature golf that was on the premises right across from the cabins. We felt right at home, comfy and cozy. These cabins are the most up to date then other cabins we have stayed in in Pinetop. Will definitely go back again!!

Room Tip: If you can request a cabin, not sure if you can, #11 would be our pick.

“Exceeded our expectations and made for a wonderful stay”

My husband and I made last minute plans to go up to the White Mountains to escape the Phoenix heat and this is where we stayed. Since ours was a last minute booking, we got a fabulous price.
When we reached the resort, the staff in the office, Karen in particular, was very friendly and welcoming. They were extremely helpful in suggesting places to visit and eat. And when we went to the cabin, we were pleasantly surprised by the size and amenities. Spacious, fully equipped kitchen, TV, DVD player and fireplace in the living room, 2 huge bedrooms and even a jacuzzi tub in the master bath. The linens were all very clean and crisp too.
After a relaxing game of mini golf, we barbecued and walked around the premises. It was extremely pleasant and private. We got cabin # 17, which I felt was the most secluded.

Overall, we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and we couldn't have asked for more. We are definitely going back.

“Aweful customer service”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 July 2011

While the facility appeared to be quaint, the customer service was awful. The pool and activity center was closed and we had no warning ahead of time. Our children were very disappointed. Their response? We could go to a public pool and pay for it ourselves. Very unfriendly. We paid a lot of money for the stay (traded through Marriott) and it was the most disappointing stay that I've had in 40 years of traveling.

Room Tip: Don't go
