We stayed two nights at this LaQuinta. I have found this chain to be mostly excellent, and this one didn't change my mind. With the LQ Rewards, I only showed ID and my Rewards card and I was checked in!! Check-out was just as easy. Gave my room number, and bill was printed out.
The room was large; we got a converted room that had been handicapped, so everything was in the one room. We had only this one complaint. Will request back or courtyard next time. Service was prompt and very friendly. Needed a light bulb replaced in the bathroom, and maintenance was there in 5 minutes.
We have stayed at other north valley hotels, and have been extremely disappointed. This one will be our stay every time we journey to Phoenix.
Forgot to mention, great rates!!

I stayed at La Quinta in August 2011. The staff and service was excellent! Very friendly people! The room was, unexpectedly, large and clean with a large vanity area outside the bathroom. The air conditioning ran cool for me and was a little hard to set to my liking. It was too warm to shut it off, so I blocked some of the air coming out with the large chair in the room. I enjoyed the pool. Even though it was extremely hot out, the pool was cool and refreshing. There is not much offered for shade which would be a nice addition. I did come back from the pool one day and found that my room key did not work. The staff at the desk quickly replaced it. A continental breakfast is offered which is more than the usual small danish and coffee. There is even a waffle maker to make your own warm waffles (my favorite!) I have family close by and the location was very convenient. There is a 7-Eleven across the street for quick supplies. There was a microwave, larger-than-a-cube refrigerator and a coffee maker. Staff at La Quinta recommended a car shuttle service to and from the airport which worked great, except that they were a little later than their stated pick-up time. I would definitely stay here again.

I only have one complaint about this place.....and that is the road noise. Just ask to stay closer to the front desk and away from the Starbucks side. Other then that, I always have good luck with La Quinta and this was no exception.

If you like to stay in drug ridden hotels, this is perfect! The first room has the stinch of smoke and dirt along with what looked like a huge blood stain by the front door. The 2 nd room they put us in was not much better, as we woke up to a huge police raid and coroner in the room directly above us. The woman at the front desk dismissed it as "not our fault". This is not a place for families or 8 year olds as ours got a real education. STAY AWAY.
