“Average, decent location”

To keep this short, there was nothing wrong with this hotel, its close to downtown (7mins) and if you're driving has tons of parking.

It has food and gas around it, shares a parking lot with Denny's.

Helpful staff and a great manager.

Cleaning staff....well that's one area they could improve on, the bathroom wasn't cleaned for my 2 night stay since i got there. Everything else was okay.

I would recommend staying here for up to a 3 night stay, but anything more i would move into a more comfortable place.

“Average MOTEL in a bad neighborhood"”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 September 2010

I stayed here for two nights during a work conference. Let me start off my saying that I did not pick this motel, but rather we all stayed on the suggestion of a staff member, who shall never be trusted again to pick lodging for any work outing.

The location was the biggest problem, it’s right off the freeway but in a less than desirable neighborhood. That is unless your desire is prostitutes, drunks going into Denny’s, which is located a few feet from your front door, and shady characters walking along the sidewalk in front of the location. My advice would be to drive up the freeway a few miles and you’ll find a nicer neighborhood, better restaurants, and HOTELS charging about the same price.

The second problem was the staff, although they were friendly to a degree, they were dressed unprofessionally, and seemed to have very little knowledge of the area or tourist attractions. A little effort to know the area and answers to commonly asked questions would go a long way. While checking in I saw an ad for a casino, I asked how far it was, they didn’t know. I asked if the pool was heated, they didn’t know because they have never used it. I asked for a recommendation of a good mexican restaurant, they sent us to the wrong location. I stopped asking any question during the rest of my “adventure.”

Understand this is not a hotel, but a motel. The property was clean and seemed to be maintained. Within a short walk from the motel is a Denny’s (actually shares the parking lot), a Starbucks, and across the street is a Jack in the Box, Arby’s and a Circle K. The property has a pool, but no jacuzzi.

The room was average size, was clean and maintained. The bathroom sink is separate from the toilet and shower. There was a large screen TV with HBO and PPV, there is a coffee maker and Iron w/Board. No safe in the room, which is really needed based on the neighborhood. The bed was a little too soft for me. The A/C is located in the window and kept me awake all night because it sounded like the space shuttle taking off every time is started up. I was also kept awake by the air compressor going off all night at the Denny’s.

A free breakfast is also provided daily, but it’s not really much to talk about. Mostly breads, pre-packaged waffles, no proteins.

In closing the motel itself is not a bad place, just the area around it is less than desirable. I would never stay here with my family, but if I needed a place for a wild weekend with my drunk buddies and was tight on cash, I might consider this place.

“Couldn't have been better!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 March 2010

We stayed for 9 days while house hunting. The room was clean and beds very comfortable, even after recent back surgery. There was some road noise from the highway, but we ran the fan at night so it was not a big deal. There is a fire station on the back side of the hotel. We never heard sirens. The hotel provided us with a refrigerator and a microwave for our stay. The cleaning staff was friendly and put in long hours. The pool was quite cool, but didn't stop the kids from swimming. They welcomed our dog and had grassy areas for exercising her.
The hotel is centrally located. We traveled away from our hotel in the mornings and back to the hotel in the evenings, always in the opposite direction of rush hour traffic. There was a Denny's, Starbuck's, Arby's, McDonald's, Jack-in-the-Box, and a WONDERFUL Italian restaurant within the same block of the hotel.
The only negative was that the showerhead in our room was about ear height. We had to duck to shampoo hair.
Overall, it was a very good choice for us. We will definitely stay there again.

“Convenient location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2010

This wasn't a bad hotel for an overnight stay. It was conveniently located for me to meet with an old friend. Dog friendly with no extra charge for my 2 small dogs which made the difference as to where to stay. The Days Inn across the street charges $50/dog & was pretty shabby looking in appearance. Check in was quick with friendly staff. The room & bathroom were clean, both kind of small. Building could use some updating. Denny's & Starbucks just outside within walking distance. Fast internet connection. Small table with 2 chairs was reasonable size for 2 people to eat at.
