“Beware the trains!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

We stayed here Saturday through Monday morning. The staff is helpful and friendly. We were upgraded to a suite! The room was clean, if a bit dusty in places. The king bed was very comfortable. The highway is adjacent to the hotel, so there was some traffic noise, but the real problem was all the trains seemed to sound their horns as they came by- in the middle of the night, of course! Stay on the east side of the hotel, if you can voice a preference. Starbucks and Denny's are in walking distance. Housekeeping did a fine job.

“Nice TV...no internet”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2012

I had a free night with the Rewards program, which is good, otherwise I would be MUCH more upset. I also attained "Elite" status before this stay. The rooms were nice, clean and had HDTV. I had virtually NO connectivity to the internet even though I was told the router was 3 rooms away from me. I called the front desk to see if I could get another room and was told they had none available. I hesitate to say this was a lie, but there were about 7 cars in the entire lot so....I was force to tether to my smart phone, which burned through my data plan with surprising speed. I now must wait until Feb 8 until my data plan renews for the month. I always stay at LaQuinta because of the rewards program, but if this is how you are treated when you are ELITE status, I'd rather go back to gold. I usually stay at the Arcadia location and will begin to do so again as I will never stay at this LaQuinta again. At least at Arcadia, I can check my email. Hopefully they will reach out to make this right. If so, I will update this review

Room Tip: After the front desk brushed me off, I actually WALKED around outside trying to find the HotSpot. M...

“Nothing special”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 December 2011 via mobile

My company put me up here while I was in orientation for four nights.

I found a bobby pin on the floor when I checked in ... The caulking around the tub needs to be redone ... The shower is for short people (5') or under! I still had to bend at the knees to get my arm pits under the water, and I'm only 6'1".

I was in room 236 which is on the back side facing McDonalds and the fire station which was fairly quiet, but then there were no fires either!

This is an older motel with outside doors, not a central hallway. The bed was a bit softer/worn than I'm use to ...

Breakfast was modest but filling.

“OK for a night or two”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 December 2011

This is an older property with exterior doors. OK if that's your cup-o-tea. I happen to like parking in front of my door. This was a one night stay on halloween, to take a flight the next day. The area didn't look all that great for walking around - not somewhere I would be outside alone at night. The hotel room was clean. Check-in went well. Walked into the room and the TV was playing a hearth scene. Left too early to have breakfast, but the standard La Quinta fair looked available. Had a good night sleep and an easy drive to the airport in the morning.

“NEVER EVER STAY HERE IT IS DIRTY/UNSAFE”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 March 2011

we booked this off priceline and were very disturbed and dissappointed. The hotel was filthy. The lobby staff was eating pizza and smoking, there was dirt on the floor and they were discussing how they had lost the master room keyes but they would show up again not to worry. The area had razor wire walls. Prostitutes on the sidewalk. I was shocked we had to find a different hotel last minute.
