“Nothing special”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 December 2011 via mobile

My company put me up here while I was in orientation for four nights.

I found a bobby pin on the floor when I checked in ... The caulking around the tub needs to be redone ... The shower is for short people (5') or under! I still had to bend at the knees to get my arm pits under the water, and I'm only 6'1".

I was in room 236 which is on the back side facing McDonalds and the fire station which was fairly quiet, but then there were no fires either!

This is an older motel with outside doors, not a central hallway. The bed was a bit softer/worn than I'm use to ...

Breakfast was modest but filling.

“OK for a night or two”

This is an older property with exterior doors. OK if that's your cup-o-tea. I happen to like parking in front of my door. This was a one night stay on halloween, to take a flight the next day. The area didn't look all that great for walking around - not somewhere I would be outside alone at night. The hotel room was clean. Check-in went well. Walked into the room and the TV was playing a hearth scene. Left too early to have breakfast, but the standard La Quinta fair looked available. Had a good night sleep and an easy drive to the airport in the morning.

“NEVER EVER STAY HERE IT IS DIRTY/UNSAFE”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 March 2011

we booked this off priceline and were very disturbed and dissappointed. The hotel was filthy. The lobby staff was eating pizza and smoking, there was dirt on the floor and they were discussing how they had lost the master room keyes but they would show up again not to worry. The area had razor wire walls. Prostitutes on the sidewalk. I was shocked we had to find a different hotel last minute.

“Average, decent location”

To keep this short, there was nothing wrong with this hotel, its close to downtown (7mins) and if you're driving has tons of parking.

It has food and gas around it, shares a parking lot with Denny's.

Helpful staff and a great manager.

Cleaning staff....well that's one area they could improve on, the bathroom wasn't cleaned for my 2 night stay since i got there. Everything else was okay.

I would recommend staying here for up to a 3 night stay, but anything more i would move into a more comfortable place.

“Average MOTEL in a bad neighborhood"”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 September 2010

I stayed here for two nights during a work conference. Let me start off my saying that I did not pick this motel, but rather we all stayed on the suggestion of a staff member, who shall never be trusted again to pick lodging for any work outing.

The location was the biggest problem, it’s right off the freeway but in a less than desirable neighborhood. That is unless your desire is prostitutes, drunks going into Denny’s, which is located a few feet from your front door, and shady characters walking along the sidewalk in front of the location. My advice would be to drive up the freeway a few miles and you’ll find a nicer neighborhood, better restaurants, and HOTELS charging about the same price.

The second problem was the staff, although they were friendly to a degree, they were dressed unprofessionally, and seemed to have very little knowledge of the area or tourist attractions. A little effort to know the area and answers to commonly asked questions would go a long way. While checking in I saw an ad for a casino, I asked how far it was, they didn’t know. I asked if the pool was heated, they didn’t know because they have never used it. I asked for a recommendation of a good mexican restaurant, they sent us to the wrong location. I stopped asking any question during the rest of my “adventure.”

Understand this is not a hotel, but a motel. The property was clean and seemed to be maintained. Within a short walk from the motel is a Denny’s (actually shares the parking lot), a Starbucks, and across the street is a Jack in the Box, Arby’s and a Circle K. The property has a pool, but no jacuzzi.

The room was average size, was clean and maintained. The bathroom sink is separate from the toilet and shower. There was a large screen TV with HBO and PPV, there is a coffee maker and Iron w/Board. No safe in the room, which is really needed based on the neighborhood. The bed was a little too soft for me. The A/C is located in the window and kept me awake all night because it sounded like the space shuttle taking off every time is started up. I was also kept awake by the air compressor going off all night at the Denny’s.

A free breakfast is also provided daily, but it’s not really much to talk about. Mostly breads, pre-packaged waffles, no proteins.

In closing the motel itself is not a bad place, just the area around it is less than desirable. I would never stay here with my family, but if I needed a place for a wild weekend with my drunk buddies and was tight on cash, I might consider this place.
