“Great Experience”

My trip started off terrible with delayed flights and long layovers but as soon as I got to the now renaissance hotel everything was great. The bellmen (Thomas) who I later got to know as TJ was an absolute delight. As silly as this may sound he felt almost like a friemd by the time i left. He was there every single day of my stay and his smile was always warm and inviting. As soon as I got there he went above and beyond to cater to me so I could just relax and unwind after such a stressful day. In addition to that, the front desk staff was great and the room was BEAUTIFUL. Newly renovated and the bed was unbelievably comfortable. The lobby was pretty and had real flame candles lit every night to set a comfortable mood and the bar ICON was great. A little small in my opinion but otherwise wonderful. As a business traveler this may have been the best hotel I have been to and will be requesting to stay here whenever I am in phoenix.

“Service Exceeded Expectations”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

The location of the hotel is great and they have made a major update. Upon checking in during a conference, they only had unrenovated rooms left, which would have been an upset except that the staff handled it extremely well and quickly provided acceptable concessions. The security/shipping staff also did an amazing job of handling a package that was accidentally shipped to the hotel after we left. They arranged to ensure it was shipped back to the shipper without any hassle, which was greatly appreciated.

“Had many great experiences here!”

This hotel has a great bar, the Icon, with a urban yet comfortable atmosphere, and the service is terrific. The food is great in the restaurant, but what I have really noticed is that when they are catering a large event, and serve a sit down dinner to hundreds, they do it quickly and efficiently and the food is always delicious and is always presented so nicely. I can honestly say I have never had a bad meal there. They always seem prepared for the event, and always have enough staff to take care of last minute requests. It is a beautiful hotel and the employees really seem to care about their customers!

“Excellent experience with events”

Working for a non-profit, I have used the Renaissance (formally Wyndham) for events for years and love them. I mainly work with Michael in planning the event and honestly ALWAYS have a great experience with him. He works hard to give me a competitive price and the customer experience, meals and events always are wonderful. So wonderful, my best friend had a wedding in 2010 on the terrace and it was amazing. Always pleased and I know to just come here first when planning my events.

“Awesome convention location!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

Our state organization had its annual convention here and we were blown away by the professionalism, the elegance, and the very workable space that we needed for our sessions and breakouts. The rooms were affordable and very nice. The staff treated us like queens! But the best part of all was our catering manager, Michael Petersen-Incorvaia, who treated us like family. No request was too big or small. He made us feel at home, provided us with much needed insight and guidance, and never once got annoyed with our crazy changes in food, set up, or needs. Michael Petersen-Incorvaia is the crowning jewel in the catering/convention department!
