We recently stayed at the Courtyard for 4 nights. The hotel is fairly new and very clean. Our room had a walk in shower which was nice. Beds and pillows were ok nothing spectacular. Our room faced the 101 freeway so we did have some highway noise.(the same side as the pool). Next time we will ask for a room on the other side. The pool was bigger than most Courtyards. It is heated and had nice chairs and loungers around it. The whirlpool was awesome. If you are traveling to the west side of Phoenix, this hotel is a great option. For us the location was great. There are good restaurants not too far from the hotel and a Walmart as well. Next time we go Phoenix, we will stay here.

I come back to Phoenix fairly regularly to help out with my parents and lately, I've wanted to stay at hotels just to "get away". Well, this is certainly getting away. Very, very far away from anything important, fun, or special. This is track home central (Tolleson/Avondale) and it's just terrible, unless you're going to Spring Training.

The service was fine, ho-hum, nothing special. It's as clean as I would expect from such a big chain. But the location is awful, our room was crowded with this big TV dresser thing that took up half the room, and... well, let's just say I'm done with the chain hotels thing. It's partially my own fault, but if you want personality and something that isn't predictable and sterile, navigate away from hotels on the outskirts of Phoenix that look like mini hospitals. Blech.

Place looks very new, on the outskirts of Phoenix. Stayed as part of a business trip overnight and was nice, not fantastic but nice. Beds, pillows, room all very good and comfortable.
Gym and pool area very good. pool is heated. If can pick a room location, ask not to get an east facing room as it overlooks a car park, other rooms would have a better views.
Tea and coffee facilities available at the counter with really nice cookies!
Meals were reasonably priced at the restaurant and breakfast was the usual fare. Could also get omelettes if you wanted them; wasn't told about them by the waitress though.

I recently stayed at the Courtyard in Avondale and totally enjoyed my nine night stay. Rooms are a nice size with all the amenities. The staff is what sets this hotel apart from the General Manager to the housekeeps. The entire staff was very accommodating and friendly. We had several banquet functions and the food and service far exceeded my expectations. I'll look forward to a return visit and would highly recommend the Courtyard Avondale.
