“Amazing renovations! incredible rooms!”

NOT RAMADA ANYMORE!!!!! NOW A BRAND NEW HOLIDAY INN PROPERTY

I have stayed at this property for years, and have to say that out of all my stays, this one by far is the best. They finished the renovations(which I hear was in excess of 4 million dollars), and the room was fantastic - new beds, tv, bathroom, carpet, everything. The restaurant is now open again too, for breakfast lunch and dinner, and they serve room service again too. the rates have gone up a little, but the raise is worth it on so many levels. Thanks to Chris and his staff for going out of their way to make my return a great one. Clean rooms, wonderful staff, and just the feeling of being appreciated makes this my Phoenix home away from home for sure.. Check it out

Room Tip: Ask for the Deluxe rooms, although the Executive rooms are remodeled too, the deluxe rooms were comp...

When I checked in , the male front desk clerk/manager was friendly; but the evening/night clerk was kind of "bitter" to be at work at night shift. We were assigned to the first floor room which although facing the front, it's backing off the pool. The problem started when some group of people were making so much noise and still partying at 2:00A.M, despite of pool "rules" of no swimming after !0:00P.M.! We have to complain 3X, before this lady clerk went and reprimand the group in the pool! The only "plus" in our stay was the hot full breakfast buffet. I would still go back and stay for the price, but never again in the same room/area close to the pool.

Room Tip: higher floors, opposite/away from pool area

Thank you for your recent review of our property, and I value your tips, and opinions very highly as we are trying to maintain a high level of service and product. Also, thank you for staying with us during the renovation process, as I understand just how much it affected everyone from staff to the guests themselves. We recently completed the 4.5 million dollare renovations, and invite you back to see the finished product. I use reviews like these as training tools, to improve staff performance, and to review myself to make sure we are maintaining the service levels I promote myself. Thanks again for the review, and we look forward to seeing you, remember, ask for a deluxe room when you book, and bring your appetite to try out the new restaraunt!

“Beware!!”

When I booked the reservation for this hotel I was aware that it was under construction, but when I walked in I was astonished to see that the place looked like a dump! I understand that they needed to repair a few thing but they should not have been booking rooms with the hotel in that state. The price of the room was $69 and though the rooms looked fairly nice at first at 3 am we were woken up by the sound of banging and screaming in the room directly next to us. Our ghetto neighbors were banging furniture and screaming. The fight was frightening, so I reached for the phone to call the desk only to find that the phone did not work. I personally walked all the way to the desk to request that the hotel staff check on the occupants of the room next to us, they complied, moving us a few rooms down the hall. At that point we tried to salvage what was left of our night. In the morning we woke to find a very large dead cockroach right in front of our fridge and it looked like it had been their for some time. Finally we made it downstairs to enjoy the continental breakfast, which was set up in a with visible drywall and a sheet covering the rest of the construction area. The food was laid out on collapsable metal tables, and the tables in which we ate were surrounded by stain covered chairs. Needless to say we did not stay and eat there. After talking to the manager about our unpleasant stay he said that he could not control who was in the room next to us, he promised to called back and resolve the situation (which never happened) and offered us no refund. SO for all those who plan to stay in this Ramada beware!

“Used to be nice, under construction”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 October 2011

I used to use this hotel a few years ago, It had been newly remodeled and made completely smoke-free. The deluxe rooms were very nice and they had a full hot breakfast buffet. The prices went up and the buffet went away. they do still have a breakfast with hot waffles, but that just makes them average.
The last two times I stayed there, I was surprised how low the price was and found out only after showing up that it was totally under construction! nothing was said in the reservation process.
The pool and spa were not available and what used to be the buffet, then turned into a restaurant was also not available. The breakfast they served was in a backroom at the end of the hall.
The room was still nice, but a hotel is more than the room.
I won't choose this hotel again.

Room Tip: there are micros and fridges in the wheelchair accessible rooms, not sure about the others

“Great rooms, good price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 October 2011

Hotel under renovation, will become Holiday Inn in few months. Didn't had any problem with noise due to construction. It's dusty and dirty in the fisrt 2 floors but it's because of the renovation. Swinning pool and dinning area still closed. Continental breakfast is ok, included yogurt, boiled egg, OJ, coffee, tea, mini waffels, white bread, plain baggels, baged danish, 2 types of cereal. Room was big and clean; had a safe, microwave, coffee maker, mini fridge, plasma TV, iron board, hair dryer, big closet. I will definitely recommend this place but keep in mind prices will increase a lot after renovation is completed.
