“Nice and Acceptable But Needs Upgrading”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

Stayed at this hotel for convenience. Our usual Embassy Suites was bought by another company. Hotel reception was acceptable, my honors level was recognized. Just found the room somewhat dated and the bathroom very small, door would not stay open and toilet leaked on floor. My preferences were not honored (my room was by an elevator). I also found the evening manager's reception to be in an unusual place (same area as breakfast) because they did not want it to conflict with the bar that served the inhouse restaurant. It was not unusual to see 15 people in line waiting for their beverage of choice. Would I return, probably yes because it is across the street from some fabulous restaurants and you can walk there in 5 minutes. If the Ritz (also nearby) has a similar room charge, I will change next time. They even forgot to give me my requested wake up call - my associate got his.

“excellent customer service and great amenities”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2012

As I travel all the time, I won't take the time to write a review unless the hotel was really great or just terrible. I stayed here for a conference as the Biltmore Arizona resort rooms were full. Although, the Embassy Suites were not as fancy or nice as the Biltmore - they had a nice property, the suites were very large and well-decorated and clean - relatively quiet. There is a pool and whirlpool. The front desk staff - especially manager Valerie and Amanda at the front desk were fantastic. There was a complimentary shuttle to the Biltmore and anywhere within a 3 mile radius and the staff were incredibly friendly. The customized omelette station and complimentary breakfasts were great. The manager's happy hour with food and drink were also wonderful complimentary perks. The staff bent over backwards to help us and make sure we had a great stay. They even sent a town car complimentarily to get us when we finished hiking Squaw Peak and it was dark and we needed to get back - instead of having us wait for the shuttle - which was really appreciated. The property makes sense and is reasonable in price and well-located. There are a bunch of running trails along the canal, hiking to Squaw Peak or Camelback Mountain are close by and really worth it, it backs the golf course and is about a mile from the Biltmore Resort. Of course - it is right beside the mall where there are tons of great restaurant - including True Food Kitchen which was great. The hotel restaurant was reasonable also but not likely something you would like to eat at every night unless you love steak. All in all would definately stay here again. The customer service was great. It made sense and we loved the stay here and would stay at Embassy Suites as a priority above other hotels. It makes sense and is non-pretentious but delivers good quality and good service. What more could you want?

Room Tip: the rooms facing the pool were really nice. Would recommend the 3rd floor or higher and a bit furth...

“Nice Hotel and good location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 January 2012

Stayed here two nights for Fiesta Bowl. Easy to find and in a lovely neighborhood with high end shopping center across the street. It is an older Embassy Suites but nicely kept up. The only disappointments were the two double beds rather than two queen beds and the air conditioner which clicked on and off loudly all night long. Room did have two sinks (one in bedroom area) which was nice but we did have to call for extra towels the second day (only provided two when their were three people in room). We also had some noise early in the morning from nearby construction but that was not hotel's fault. Breakfast was a little chaotic due to large crowds and they ran out of things like napkins on the first day. Seemed a little unprepared. The second day a manager seemed to be helping and it was better. Wish hotels would extend their breakfast hours for large crowds and special events especially during the week instead of running their normal hours. The Omaha Steakhouse was fantastic.

Room Tip: Choose room on east side.

Thank you for reviewing our hotel. Please accept my aplogies that your stay fell short of perfect. We strive to exceed guests expectations and I am very sorry that we fell short. I appreciate your comments and you have a great suggestion about extending breakfast hours for special events. We work with group planners to accomodate all kinds of special requests and that is certainly one we can work on. I am glad you discovered our fantastic Omaha Steakhouse and that you enjoyed your experience there.

“Nice location, average Embassy Suites”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 January 2012

My family and I spent 3 nights at the Embassy Suites Phoenix last week. The lobby is attractive, pool decent size but not interesting and pull-out couch mattress was the worst I have ever experienced. Employees were all very nice and responded well to any request. Breakfast was standard Embassy Suites fare but instead of a hot buffet with an omelet station, it was one woman working as a short order cook. She did a great job, eggs cooked to order, pancakes cooked to order, french toast cooked to order, potatoes hot off the grill......the line was insanely long the first day we were there but smaller on subsequent days. It's not a great setup to say the least. Overall, good value for the money if you are a family staying in one room and utilize breakfast and happy hour.

Room Tip: Ask for quiet room......rooms surrounding the atrium can be noisy especially around breakfast time.

“Pricey but Great Ammenties and Staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 December 2011

First I'd just like to say the blue-collar staff at this hotel are fantastic. The desk workers, maids, cooks, servers etc really go above and beyond the call of duty. Kudos to them and management for hiring a great bunch.

The interior of the hotel is gorgeous, from the koi ponds to the palm trees to the workout room, everything looks and feels good.

Made to order free breakfast and nightly free happy hour drinks are excellent amenities.

I'm taking one star off because when you pay this much for a hotel, and one that has no problem giving more expensive perks (drinks, breakfast, etc) paying $15 a day to access wireless Internet is silly.

Great location.
