“Nice hotel, friendly staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 December 2011

I stayed at the Embassy Suites from 10th to 14th December and on the whole I was pleased with the service and room. All of the staff I had contact with were very helpful & friendly. I ate in my room 3 nights, the room service menu offered a good selection and the person who delivered my meal had the fore thought to include a glass of ice when I ordered sodas. The room was well presented, clean and during my stay it was cleaned well each day. I did at times find that the room was a little cold and the aircon didn't seem to heat it. My only problem was that my room faced onto the car park for the adjacent shopping mall and each morning between 5.30am and 6am there was noise, which I believe was trash being brought out of the hotel for collection. This was a small thing but if you are a light sleeper try avoid rooms facing onto the car park. I reckon all that is required to solve the noise issue would be to replace the sliding door in the bedroom that leads to a small balcony with one that is double glazed. I certainly wouldn't have a problem staying at the hotel again. The breakfasts which are cooked to order were very tasty and really set you up for the day.

Room Tip: If you are a light sleeper ask for a room that doesn't overlook the car park.

Thank you for the nice review of our hotel. I am glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Please accept my apologies that you were disturbed by the trash collection from the restaurant next door. I have spoken to the manager there and asked if they can push that to later in the morning.
I do hope that you will stay with us again on your next visit to Phoenix.

Sincerely,
Valarie Miceli

“The most luxurious embassy suites ever!!!”

This hotel is just wonderful for couples and families with kids. There is a beautiful huge outdoor pool, work out room, mouth watering steak house, delicious and healthy free breakfast buffet, luxurious rooms, the hotel looks like an oasis inside, koi ponds, and very friendly staff. The best part about this hotel is it's location because it is only 10minutes away from Scotsdale, is right next to a mall full of designer clothing stores and grand restaurants, and is about 10-15minutes away from downtown Phoenix.

“Very nice hotel, great location, good service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 November 2011 via mobile

First time staying here, will likely stay again. We love the location-close to Scottsdale, only about 15 minutes front the airport. It's across from a nice mall with Macy's and many other stores and restaurants. My husband's family lives there so we visit often and have stayed other places that were mediocre. He had stayed at the ES Biltmore years ago when it was something else, and it was fabulous then. So, we gave it a try knowing it was at least 20 plus years old and hopefully renovated. we stayed four nights.
Our room was typical ES but updated nicely-LR, BR, one bath, granite throughout. The coffee maker, MW, and fridge worked fine. The beds were in good shape. bath was clean, though the inside door frame had a little rust on the bottom.
So the first night we were there (thurs), loud music played in the bar area until I don't know when; we fell asleep at 10pm after travel from the east coast. ES rooms open up into an interior courtyard. The other nights were quieter.
The food in the hotel restaurant Omaha Steakhouse was delicious! The place was deserted, but I think this was a slow period. Other reviews is had read of itwere good so we tried it and weren't disappointed. We also ate the free breakfast twice and were satisfied.
All in all, I was happy with what we got for the money.

“You get what you pay for”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 November 2011

The pros -
Great location, just a few minutes' walk to Biltmore Fashion Park
Big rooms, great for families or just being comfortable
Complimentary happy hour and hot breakfast are great
Super friendly and accomodating staff
Big pool that's heated in winter

The cons -
The rooms are sorely in need of renovation: Small bathrooms, aged carpet, popcorn ceilings (!).
Our room smelled of smoke, interesting since indoor smoking has been banned in AZ for several years now.

We would stay there again, either as a couples or family getaway, due to the room value and location, but we recognize that it certainly is not a luxury hotel!

Room Tip: A room overlooking the pool is preferred to overlooking busy Camelback Road or the parking lot.

Thank you for the nice review. I am so glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Our guest rooms were fully renovated in 2007. I am really sorry that your room did not smell fresh. It is our goal to ensure that every room is perfect everytime and I sorry that this did not happen. We do take these comments to heart and will review this with our Housekeeping team to see what we can do better. Also, we have just added the new PURE allergy friendly rooms and we are really excited about them. I hope you will have another chance to visit our hotel and perhaps try out our new PURE rooms.

Sincerely,
Valarie Miceli

“room smells of smoke, very dissappointing”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 November 2011

We wanted to stay at the Phoenix Biltmore but they were full and the operator suggested this hotel. I am so dissappointed. We were charged over $220 for the room for one night and when I smelled the room, I called immediately to let the front desk know and they gave us a $50 deduction but it is still so awful in here tonght, that I am heartbroken.
