Stayed 4 nights while attending the BCS National Championship football game January 10, 2011, at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale. We loved this hotel! It was a quick drive to the stadium and also an easy drive into Scottsdale and Phoenix on non-game days for other activities. If our Oregon Ducks would have beaten Auburn in the Title game, the trip would have been perfect!! Even with the loss, we had a great time and loved the experience.

The area this hotel is located in is very clean and safe, with tons of restaurants and shopping. Cheesecake Factory, In & Out Burger, Elephant Bar, Red Robin, a cool family style Italian restaurant called Buca di Beppi, just to name a few. Right across the street from the Arrowhead Mall, plus also a Target almost right next door in case you forgot sunscreen (we did) or something like that.

The hotel is very well kept and clean. Check-in was quick & easy, nice staff. I had requested top floor and that's what we were given...5th floor. We had 2 rooms, a king and 2 doubles. Both rooms were nice and clean, roomy, updated, nice bathrooms. Our king room had a sofa and a desk, plus a microwave and fridge. The kids room with 2 doubles did not have the sofa, but had the desk, micro and fridge. The beds were very comfortable.

Only 2 minor complaints ~ queen beds would be nicer than the doubles. Also, I'm not a big fan of the tiny single-serve coffee makers that many hotels seem to be going to...including this La Quinta. But coffee is available in the lobby.

I would recommend this hotel, and would stay there again.

they are remodeling the hotel which was not intrusive. however we stayed in one of the newely remodeled rooms and there was no where in the bathroom to hang wet clothes or towels and the headboards on the beds were not attached to the wall at the bottom and they put wood molding on the head board to dress them up a little and it was extremely uncomfortable to lean against to watch TV or to read.
customer service was great!
they needed to upgrade the breakfast. the fresh fruit that was offered apples and i think they had oranges were third rate fruit that looks like it had sat there for a week. they have a full menu for room service why cant they offer a better breakfast? i would recommend this as a leisure cheap hotel but for business i would NOT recommend this place because the free internet was extremely slow and the breakfast was third rate.

Great Service, girl @ front desk was very helpful, sadly we had to leave very early in the morning and did not get to try the free breakfast. But I was very pleased with every aspect of this motel.I would not hesitate to stay again or to recommend to friends.

For Mariner fans, very centrally located and a good value. The staff was helpful and friendly, the rooms were clean and well maintained. The complimentary breakfast was standard fare, nothing special. Be aware that during ST, the bookings and flexibility are non-exsistent, so book early and have set dates.
