I was recommended the Casa Victoriana by an Argentinian friend who had stayed there previously. I did not realised until I got there that it was out of town and was a little disconcerted at first.
After staying three nights there, however, I was most definitely won over and appreciated both the location and the warm welcome there. Getting into town was not a problem at all - you can catch a bus or take a taxi, both options being quite inexpensive.
The room I had was clean and comfortable and I was pleasantly surprised to find that breakfast had not been cleared away when I overslept massively one morning!
I also enjoyed chatting with Pablo and his wife over a glass of wine in the evening.
I hope to return to Ushuaia one day and if I do I will definitely book myself back at the Casa Victoriana.
