For the price this place is good value and the room was clean and the breakfast good.

Some staff speak english and others dont so brush up on your spanish.

Its located a few metres from the tourist info office so its in a good location. Room at the back overlooks the port and you get a nice view of dawn over the mountains.

The main drag is out the front of the hotel so it can be noisy

We traveled to Ushuaia in November and checked into Yak Temi Hostal on a Saturday. We got a big room on the 2nd floor facing St. Martin (the main drag) - BIG MISTAKE. People don't joke around in Ushuaia, they party until 5 in the morning! There were people yelling, honking horns all night/ morning. Needless to say, we requested another room and they put us in the back of the hotel on the third floor. The room was a bit smaller but we had a nice view of the Canal and it was very quiet. The staff there are extremely friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.

We spent 4 nights here First of Jan. and could not have picked a better place to stay. We were booked by our agent in a seven night trip from BA to Ushuaia and Calafate and due to being late with the booking had to take what the agent had open. This hotel is on the main street in town Just 3 blocks from the water front. If your looking for a place that is near whats going on in the city this is the place. While the Hostal does not offer a lobby, bar or restaurant it did have an outstanding breakfast. The room we had was a suit with bedroom (kingsize bed) Kitchen and setting room. Every thing was spotless and the house keeping was all one could ask.
