This hotel is in a good central location near where the cruise ships leave for Antarctica. It was also easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. However, the rooms are small and outdated. Breakfast was included but was mediocre. They have a mini bar in the room but no ice machines and they wanted to charge us for a glass of ice at the bar.

Stayed here 1 night on NYE before an Antarctica trip it has the best location, walking distance from all the museums and shops, tour offices, cafes. Furnishings were old, but comfortable, we had a quiet night (ushaia is very quiet on new years eve). Reception was helpful, and free wifi worked. Also had no problem organising a late check out so we didn't have to wander around before our cruise left at 4pm. Only glitch is brekfast room is a real scrum when the hotel was full, you need to allow extra time as the staff struggle to keep the serving plates full.

From the reviews that I read on Tripadvisor I did not have high expectations of this hotel, it is outdated but it is clean. I spent one night there. It is very centrally located and it was the meeting spot for pick up for the Antarctic expedition. The walls are paper thin and the non smoking restriction is not enforced, the smell of smoke is very strong, but there are large windows to let in fresh air. Continental breakfast is included in the price - don't wait around to be seated - just walk in and help yourself.

Stayed here 1 night before cruising to Antarctica like so many others who come here. There's not a lot to do in Ushuaia, plus it's bitterly cold even in summer; 6 degrees in the day and snowed overnight. My room was at the rear so it was quiet, but it was a good size and the bathroom was nice and clean. The breakfast was good with plenty of choice. The hotel is close enough to the main street for restaurants and close to the harbour for easy transfer to ships. It may be a bit aged but it was ok.
