Hostal del Bosque is an awesome hotel! I went to Ushuaia with my parents, my 10 years old sister and two cousins in July 2010 and we all loved it!
For me, there is nothing to complain about this hotel. Actually, I have only good thing to say about it.
The staff was really great. All of them were so nice, helpful and polite.
The rooms were big and clean. The bed was not the best in the world, but it was good.
And the restaurant, oh, the restaurant! All the meals that we ordered were amazing. It doesn't matter if it was fish, pasta or meat, everything was delicious.
Well, I loved this trip to Ushuaia and I can say that Hostal del Bosque helped our trip to be so great. I loved staying there and, yes, I would totally recommend it.

My sister and I stayed at Hostal del Bosque for several nights while in Ushuaia. It seems every room is a mini apartment, with a main room, separate bedroom and bathroom. If it had been more than the two of us, it might have been a tight space-wise as the bedroom was small and there were few surface areas to put our things. We ended up using the main room for our stuff. That said, overall, we found it very comfortable and the included breakfast, while simple (bread, ham, cheese, cereal and fresh fruit), included enough options and volume for all guests. We had one dinner there during a local holiday, it was fabulous. The seafood appetizer for two is a must try! We are independent travelers and tend not to rely on the desk staff for help. In this case, while the staff was very willing to help, they spoke exclusively Spanish and were limited in their knowledge of excursions. Their knowledge seemed to reflect a bit of an older crowd that stayed there and might be less active than we were.

I was a little disappointed about the room because it shows a brand new room on web when we booking but the one we actually got was an old room.

Excelent! Staff very polited always helping with tips to sightsing around. The hotel is located on the center of Ushuaia, near all restaurants, shops, etc. The bedroom is very big and clean.
I did'n tried the restaurant but it seems to be excelent. All nights people were dinnig there.
