I stayed at this hotel for 2 separate nights. It is situated out of the centre but has a free shuttle service to and from town. The views of the Beagle Channel and the mountains are superb. The hotel has the most amazing and helpful staff. Travelling on my own, I had two major problems which they helped to sort out for me. The food was very good ( ate in the restaurant both nights). It is worth noting as one reviewer has commented on the breakfast - breakfast generally in Argentina is fairly simple. I found it to be perfectly adequate. The rooms were comfortable, clean and supplied with the usual requirements. I can't praise the staff highly enough for the help they gave me.

We were here in January for two days and we found this hotel very good. The room was spacious with a fantastic view on the Beagle Channel, very clean and warm. The breakfast was ok, not wonderful but enough good. The staff was very kind and ready to suggest and to help us.

An old hotel desperately in need of an update.
The staff are reasonably helpful.
The bedrooms are decrepit & have uncomfortable beds.
The food in the restaurant was awful.

We stayed here for two nights when our Antarctic cruise was cancelled. The views from the rooms facing the Beagle Channel are wonderful. The staff are helpful and courteous, but English is a very real problem for them. The rooms were comfortable and the food was reasonable. There is no same day laundry facility and changing money is a bit of a hit and miss affair. The taxi’s into the city centre are easily obtainable and it takes about 10 mins. Well worth staying out of town rather than in the noisy Ushuaie city centre, which we had previously done for 3 days.
