We just finished a four night stay for the High Noon western show at the Mesa Convention Center including extra days for research for a book and to visit friends. Check in was fast, easy and courteous. We had called ahead requesting a refurbished room and extra towels and toilet paper (we request no housekeeping during extended stays) and everything was exactly as we had asked with the extra items delivered as we were unpacking. Large standard rooms with plenty of walk room, a mini fridge, flat panel TV, but no real place to comfortably sit for an in-room meal; a small game table, the upholstered chair and the desk chair worked though. {one quibble about a recent hospitality trend: why provide wide screen flat panel TVs and then not subscribe to an HD service? The picture is stretched out of proportion and doesn't fit the screen properly - makes for annoying viewing!} The rooms are remarkably quiet, few sounds of toilets flushing or neighbors' TVs, just standard hallway and door noise and not much of it even considering they had very high occupency for the weekend. Central air and heating in the room made for comfortable and quiet sleep. The beds are rediculously comfortable. My favorite amenity is the FREE wi-fi in the room! I connected fast with the iPad and had fast service all stay (though I had to sign in often on the weekend, I stayed signed in on the weekdays). The most annoying aspect was the shower - the showerhead sprayed at all angles and was like standing under a fire hose with no way to get away from it. Plus the shower curtain liner wouldn't stay on the open C hooks they use, and the grab bar was at the toilet side so it was difficult to exit the high tub. Room service was fast and efficient from Cafe Azul and the food was average, but good, hotel fare. Overall an excellent stay and the staff was overly friendly and helpful!
