Since our kids moved to AZ last year we have been looking for a "home base" hotel where we can stay on our visits. Our criteria was 1) a suite where we could have the grand kiddies stay over 2) Clean and modernized 3) a pool for the kiddies 4) close to restaurants and other shopping areas 5) quiet and relaxing (when the kids have gone home). This hotel has all of that tableand more!
The suites are big and nicely laid out. The sitting area in front is furnished with a nice sized sofa (sleeper) and big comfortable chair. Along with a desk, console, and cocktail table. The room was bigger than most rooms in new homes these days. The kitchenette is built into the wall of the hallway between the 2 rooms. Very clean and well equipped. Microwave, sink, coffee maker, fridge, and I believe there may have been a toaster. Of course there were dishes and silverware available.
The bedroom is a completely separate room with a door to close off for privacy. The bed was comfortable, with plenty of pillows and extra blankets. There is French doors off the bedroom leading to a common patio area. Each room has there own set of patio tables and chairs. The pool is small, but clean and refreshing.
The bathroom has a big counter space (which is important to me). There is a tub/shower combo. It was clean and well stock with plenty of bath towels, face & wash clothes. One thing I am picky about is to have a bathroom door that locks. It's a pet peeve of mine when staying in a hotel and there is no lock on the bathroom door! Especially when you have toddlers and young kids staying in the room. The last thing you need to see when stepping out of the shower is a 2 year old standing in the room. This door locked!
The hotel does offer room service from many of the restaurant near by. There is no breakfast room service. I think the hotel may offer coffee and pastries, but we woke up too late. There is a Crispy Kreme doughnuts across the street. There is a coffee/tea station in the lobby where you can serve yourself.
All and all, it's the perfect hotel to meet our needs while visiting our kids in AZ. Its not all glam & glitzy, but it's quaint, quiet, relaxing, and clean. There's not much more you could ask for.
(sorry, no pics at this time, but I will take some on the next trip and add them for your review)
Room Tip: Ask for a ground level if you plan to enjoy the pool.

Thank you so much for taking the time to post a review on our hotel. We greatly appreciate it!
The veranda suites are my favorite rooms as well, so I am glad to hear you enjoyed them.
I noticed you mentioned you woke up late and were not able to enjoy our complimentary breakfast buffet. Hopefully on your next visit you are able to enjoy, as the waffles are a kids favorite!
Thank you again and we look forward to seeing you again in the future!
