“the best in town”

First of all I will tell you that I've been to every 4* hotel in the city and this was the one that I had the best experience.
The location is fantastic as its 4 blocks away from the main street (Cordoba) and not like the other hotels that are in the middle of the mess...there are a massive amount of buses in this city and they are not like in the UK, they are well noisy and smoky...and they ride as fast as a roller coaster:) and there are no buses passing in front of the hotel! Recommend you the 1804 or 1704 which they have a fantastic view...and the other hotels you overlook a fantastic wall or just a street full of traffic and smoke!
The facilities are VERY GOOD...understand that you are in south america and in Rosario (even thou is the 3rd city...its not BA) and no other hotel in the city have such a high standard (as they are no hotel chains, aparat from the HoJo but don't even walk in front of it!) but security wise (which they don't dige much importance) its great, well prepared with good exits and even sprinklers which haven't seen enywhere else in town. Also...CCTV! The rooms as very well maintained, just incredible...
The gym is small, not much equipment but who cares when you are overlooking the city and the river on the 19th floor!! The service is quite good, would say very respectful and the porters and a great laugh and are knoledgeable about the city. The reception staff is good but sometimes too stiff. Nice swimming pool, open only in summer but a nice bar on the side. And if you have a couple of extra ££, go to their presidential suite. No words, just book it! But my company wouldn;t pay for it:( if not the "panoramic" rooms are great.

“Love the Holiday Inn Rosario”

I travel to Rosario, Argentina, very frequently. I always intend to stay at this hotel, as it is the best hotel in town. It is not exceptional, compared to other 5 stars in bigger cities, but it is very good and the best lodging you could expect in Rosario.
The service is very good, staff is attentive and always willing to help. Rooms are very spacious, furniture is very good and well maintained. Bathrooms are ok, all white and very clean.
The pool is great! Service by the pool is also very good.
Breakfast is very good and has a great variety.
The fare is about 70 dollars, which is more expensive than any other hotel in town. But it certainly worths the money if you are looking for a very comfortable business hotel.

“Great Location And Service!”

The almost new Holiday Inn is a great choice when in Rosario. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable; the service was so personal that when I walked in or out of the hotel, they addressed me by my name. The stay included the breakfast buffet which was good. The fruit, cheeses, cold cuts and pastries were fresh. The room was clean and comfortable. When you factor this with the cost, the Holiday Inn in Rosario is a great value!

“Holiday Inn - Terrible”

Let me just say the experience here was awful. Go else where for the same amount you pay here you can get a suite somewhere else.

These guys have lifted their rates, by almost $50USD from last year but their level of service has decreased.

The hotel has signs of wear & tear and the customer service is appalling. The reception staff are unorganised and argumentative. They try to be sly and charge me for other things which I did not order. Luckily I have a habit of double checking my account.

The Manager on duty was rude and to add insult to injury doesn't speak english.
Actually the whole of the reception staff are rude... they have no idea whatsoever about customer service and were sarcastic on top of it. He was too busy chatting and womanising than actually caring about his clients. The lifts are slow and it had this overide system where the lifts by pass you if you are on a level 12 or below. Most of the time one lift is out of order. The menu needs updating as it does not offer a wide selection.

They boasts that the spanish royal family stayed there - so what ?! Royalty are always going to get a different treatment than the average traveller.

They had functions whilst you  are trying to sleep, and did maintance work without advising you first ( a letter would have been nice) OR don't hire out the room next to the room that is having maintance done to.

Another thing aswell the internet is full of viruses and always has some dirty guy hogging the computer for ages.

They no longer exchange travellers cheques which is a hassle cause you have togo to a bank where you have to take tyour passport - dangerous in argentina asyou take the risk of getting stolen!

Holiday Inn never got back to my complaint - all I can say is any english
speaking or foreign traveller (non argentine) do not stay here, its a waste of
money for the most appalling service - take your $$$ elsewhere.

My advice is boycott this hotel - if they want to be childish about the whole thing(price & attitude and service) lets teach them a lesson and not go there. Those people should be greatful that we chose to stay with them not treat us like rubbish

“Different view of Hotel?”

I had previous stayed at this hotel in 2004 and wrote positive reviews about this establishment but, had a total reverse of opinion after my 2005 stay. here is my review. PLEASE READ BEFORE CHOSING THIS HOTEL

Stayed at the holiday inn for 3 weeks and i must say i am rather dissapointed at the level of service at this hotel. The hotel is very new and at the most 5 years old. The service is very poor especially for western travellers who do not speak spanish. The pool was not in operation and was told this was because it was not summer. The gym is tatters and i complained that the equipment was dangerous and could injure someone.
They didnt exchange travellers cheques although there was a sign stating they did. In all the hotel is ok but there service is very poor. Reception seemed rather rude and arguementive and decided it was in there best interest to argue in english to a native english speaker. I thought there service was very unprofessional :(

I also stayed at the holiday inn express in Buenos Aires and there service was excellent, its a shame the Rosario Hotel can't replicate the excellent service the Holiday Inn Express gives. Personally i would look at staying at another hotel.
