This hotel worked out just fine for me but it was definitely the most "corporate" feeling place I stayed in my travels around Argentina. Our room was a suite (free upgrade courtesy of a TA promotion) and it was very large. Nice living room and bedroom. Very nice wet bar - with wine glasses, decanter, and a fridge.
Service was quite good. The front desk helped me with several reservations and there was always someone who spoke excellent English (a huge plus for me and my lack of Spanish skills).
The location is good - very central to the downtown area. But most of the tourists come to Mendoza to visit the wineries, which all require driving a little distance outside of downtown - so location is not as important as in other cities.
Only negative I can say about the room was the shower was weak and not terribly hot. We asked the maintenance folks to try to repair it and they did make it better, but it still was pretty weak. Not a deal breaker, but just good to know.
Overall it was a very pleasant stay. I just missed some of the uniqueness that boutique hotels offered in my other stays in Argentina. But if I went back to Mendoza, I would definitely consider staying here again as the price was very reasonable.
