The Posada lies in the middle of the vineyards. The rooms were amazing besides the air-conditioning which cannot be switched off. In the winter months it was not really necessary. The breakfast was very good, also the dinner. But due to the price we did expect this high quality.

Just one negative aspect: the only person who speaks English was the guy at the reception. It was a little bit difficult for us to communicate with the waiters in the restaurant.

If you stay in the posada we can really recommend to take part in a tour through the bodega.

Stunningly peaceful setting with faultless but low key service always provided with a smile. Sitting out in the evening washing down some meat from the churrasco or their freshly made empanadas, with one of their Salentein Reserve wines is difficult to beat. My favourite was the Merlot.

Be a little wary of midges at sunset. My wife was bitten, though I wasn't.

I stayed at the Posada Salentein last week. I was somewhat surprised that the rooms were so far removed from the winery and reception center, and to me they seemed somewhat isolated. While the room itself was perfectly fine, the dining facility was nothing to write home about. If you are looking for a VERY quiet place to stay, you would enjoy it, but I would not compare it to the Cavas Wine Lodge (which is admittedly much more expensive). On the other hand, the winery is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen (and I have seen a lot around the world). Even if you elect not to stay at the posadas, or even in the Uco Valley, a tour of the winery should definitely be on your itinerary.

Great place to stay. I wish they had explained at the start what was on offer and included in the price e.g. wine, meals, horse riding etc. By the time we found out it was too late. Anyway, this is a great place to stay for 2-3 days of indulgence and relaxation. Make sure you have lunch in the Bodega and do the horse riding.
