I booked this on the hotel website and got a good deal on a family room (adjoining rooms with a door between). The location is very good and close to downtown restaurants. I even decided to not rent a car and instead hired a car and driver to visit the surrounding bodegas. I agree with other reviewers that the lobby and staff are great but the rooms are dated and small. The included breakfast is very good and served in a large downstairs room.
For wine tours, I used Javier Caruso, a sommelier. He has a nice car and does tailor-made tours. My wife, daughter, and I love good wine so we wanted to do some of the best bodegas in the surrounding area. He charges $150 for the day and you can visit 3 or 4 bodegas. I reached him at javiercaruso2003@hotmail.com but he has started his new business, Routes & Wines, and can be reached at sommelier@routesandwines.com. We liked him so much, we even hired him to take us to the mountains and Aconcagua National Park.
