“Great place and excellent service!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

Small hostel, good atmosphere, not a party hostel but you still meet people and mingle if wanted. It was very clean, normal Argentinean breakfast, good WIFI,small but nice rooftop area, excellent service and good location. I would come back for sure! If you are looking for a private you should book it in advance because they only have two private rooms. Good and fully equipped kitchen. Great option for tours at the hostel at a reasonable price.

Room Tip: The dorms downstairs don't have ac and a bit loud at night if people is hanging out in the rooft...

“Hostel Lagares”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 December 2011

The hostel was great- the staff was amazing and super friendly. It is in a safe location not too far from downtown and at a nice price. The hostel had modern, fun decor and the guests were buena onda. The rooms were air conditioned, but only until the morning. My only complaints are the bathrooms are not AC, making them very hot and humid. My dorm didn´t lock, but everyone had an individual locker. Overall I would recommend this hostel!

“Nice hostel, would stay again”

Coming from Cordoba, this hostel was a welcome break. It's small and there is no bar or pool table-type area, so people are relatively quiet and calm. When we were there, it was mostly couples and a few solo female travelers. We stayed in both the downstairs dorm and an upstairs private. The downstairs dorm wasn't spectacular, a little noisy in the mornings, but otherwise fine. The private room had a/c and a tv which was a nice treat!

The bathrooms were relatively well maintained, though the showers never really got hot, just warm. Overall the hostel was very clean, a bathroom/shower was always free, and the kitchen was never too busy. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and I recommend you take them up on the stay 3 nights free bikes deal with Mr. Hugo's offer. It was fun!

Overall, would stay again and would recommend for couples, solo female travelers, and for those looking for a social but peaceful and respectful atmosphere.

“Good hostel, great location and friendly staff”

We stumbled upon this hostel when our preferred choice was booked. What a grat find!! Really cool manager you has a ridiculous amonut of DVDs for the rainy/hangover days. The whole place was clean. Only downside would be they have put one too many bunks in the 8 bed. The matresses were quite uncomfortable and could probably do with a flip. Other than that it's a great place to stay.

“Great hostel, would stay there again!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 May 2011

This hostel was really good, the staff were all very helpful, there is cable tv, a huge movie selection. Two outdoor patios, a good clean kitchen, nice common room. The internet and wifi is awesome. Three bathrooms upstairs which was awesome but could have been cleaner, the floors had ash all around and the sinks didn't look clean, but the showers were good, hot water would cut out if someone else showered at the same time. Has a great atmosphere, good range of people staying there, the staff are helpful and give you a map when you arrive! The rooms were a bit cramped and a lot of street noise comes in, but there are big lockers to put your backpack in. Definitely suggest it to stay at!!!!

Room Tip: Downstairs 4 bed nicknamed the dungeon, very noisy
