I´ve been travelling for many years. I´ve work in the travel industry for well over 23 years and I have to say that rarely did I find one of those magic places where great service can only be matched by friendliness, care and attention to detail.
Am Bach is located so close to the center of all traditional german activities and shops that give Villa General Belgrano its character and yet so far from the noise and traffic that comes along with that.
All cabins are designed in a way that gives each and everyone of them great privacy. They´re well equipped and kept immaculately clean. The owners are gems to be admired and immitated.
When we asked about getting some of the famous Argentinian croissants, we did not expect to have a basket of them every morning waiting by our door.
We´re lucky enough to be there at Easter time. The owners organized an Easter Egg Hunt in the beautiful forest that surrounds the property. We even had a staff member dressed as a bunny :=) Our kids loved it!
This place even surprised me after we left. I´m known for being a bit forgetful. Two weeks after we left I realized that I had forgotten to recover my money out of the safety box provided for free at our room. I´ve called them thinking that my money was gone, but they returned my call a few minutes later saying that since nobody had asked for a key to that safety box during that period all my money was still there.
Argentina has some of the most hospitable people on earth, but this place is a slice of Heaven. Do yourself a favor...if your planning on visiting Villa General Belgrano, don´t waist your time searching for the perfect place. Just stay at Am Bach. you´ll be glad you did :=)
