Went to Cordoba for a seminar and I stayed at the NH Urbano because it was pretty much close to the university. And this is the best feature of the hotel: location. It is located near every popular sightseeing in the city. So, location, location, location. That was my mantra during my stay.
However the hotel has so many cons that I might choose another one next time I visit Cordoba.
Firstly, the rooms: they are big, nice bathrooms but they are a little dusty. I had to take alergy pills every night in order to not have a crisis there. When I turned the heater on, it started to smell funny and I could see dust coming out from the pipes. And the blanket. And the head of the bed... my god.
And then the main reason for my trip: business. For a business hotel, it lacks some amenities that would make my stay more productive. The restaurant is not open during weekends. And there's no room service after 11PM. C'mon, this is the least I expect from a 3-4 stars hotel.
Although internet access is free, it is too slow. I found out it was better to work at the shopping mall three blocks away then to use it at my room.
Finally, the breakfast. Not good. You will only find a couple of breads, orange juice, and cereal. I really expected a lot more - it was functional, but I did not have any pleasure eating there.
Staff was OK. Everyone mentioned how friendly they were, but I felt pretty much ignored there (except for the cleaning ladies, they were educated).
Final thoughts: it's an OK hotel. The price was not that bad, but you might find something better. If you want location, maybe NH Urbano is your place. In my case, nah, it is not worth.
