“Comfy digs in Cordoba”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2012

Posh hotel on La Canada, sister hotel to NH Panorama. The room was extra comfortable and spacious. Stayed 2 nights.
Great location for getting around La Canada and Nueva Corboda. Breakfast was typical Argentinian with 3 options for bread, cheese, ham, a selection of biscuits, coffee and juice.
A bit on the pricy side but I needed a good rest :) Stay total for 2 nights = AR$866.00

“Great location for a good hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 November 2011

This hotel is in a great location in downtown Cordoba, within a walking distance of major attractions and shopping areas. My room was spacious, modern and clean, with wood floor and a nice sized bathroom. The wood closet was ample and had a safe box, although there was no iron or ironing table. The staff at the front desk was very helpful, I needed an extra towel and they brought it to the room within 5 minutes. The breakfast (included in my rate) was great. The hotel does not have a garage, but there is a parking lot across the street. My room was facing the backyard and therefore was quiet, but rooms facing the street might be noisy since there are several restaurants and bars in the block.

Room Tip: If you do not like street or people noise, ask for a room that faces the backyard, not the street or...

“Hard to believe it belongs to NH chain!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 September 2011 via mobile

Old - dirty - broken:
Old building, never restored
Old rooms with old appliances (tv, mini bar, etc. are at least 20 y.o.)
Dirty carpet in the room; dirty walls with dead mosquitos stitched to them; first room was so much smelling we had to switch for another one (w/o bad smell, but older and more creepy instead)
Broken sink in the bathroom.
No porter neither a trolley at disposal for luggage.
Never again here.

“Location, location, location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 August 2011

Went to Cordoba for a seminar and I stayed at the NH Urbano because it was pretty much close to the university. And this is the best feature of the hotel: location. It is located near every popular sightseeing in the city. So, location, location, location. That was my mantra during my stay.

However the hotel has so many cons that I might choose another one next time I visit Cordoba.

Firstly, the rooms: they are big, nice bathrooms but they are a little dusty. I had to take alergy pills every night in order to not have a crisis there. When I turned the heater on, it started to smell funny and I could see dust coming out from the pipes. And the blanket. And the head of the bed... my god.

And then the main reason for my trip: business. For a business hotel, it lacks some amenities that would make my stay more productive. The restaurant is not open during weekends. And there's no room service after 11PM. C'mon, this is the least I expect from a 3-4 stars hotel.

Although internet access is free, it is too slow. I found out it was better to work at the shopping mall three blocks away then to use it at my room.

Finally, the breakfast. Not good. You will only find a couple of breads, orange juice, and cereal. I really expected a lot more - it was functional, but I did not have any pleasure eating there.

Staff was OK. Everyone mentioned how friendly they were, but I felt pretty much ignored there (except for the cleaning ladies, they were educated).

Final thoughts: it's an OK hotel. The price was not that bad, but you might find something better. If you want location, maybe NH Urbano is your place. In my case, nah, it is not worth.

“Perfect location for exploring Cordoba”

We were thrilled with the location of this hotel. It was very easy to walk to all the main attractions in Cordoba (Cathedral, Plaza, Jesuit University) and there were a number of good restaurants and shops also located nearby.

The rooms were very spacious and well appointed.

There was a computer with fast internet access located in the lobby which we all used to check our emails and catch up with the news of the world.

My only issue was that my room fronted the main street and there was quite a lot of street noise and pedestrian noise until the early hours of the morning. It was not possible to sleep with the window opened. i slept with ear plugs

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back of the hotel.
