“Clean & nice Family-Atmosphere, english-speaking Stuff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 December 2010

I found the hostel on Trip Advisor and booked a private double room (I had a small one, but it was enough space for one person). First I just wanted to stay a few days, but finally I stayed there almost one week.

The hostel is centrally located (in a quiet side street) and is leading by a young, very friendly couple, Mike and Marianna. The hostel is very clean and quiet. The bathroom is shared with other guests (there is only 1 bathroom, but this was usually free if I wanted to use). The hostel has a great outer area to chill and a ping-pong table as well. Nice Breakfast with coffee, cakes and various baked goods.

The owners speak very well English and help me with questions. During my stay they managed for me a horse-riding-trip, which was great!!

I recommend the hostel very much and would book there again any time. It is clean and the family atmosphere have influenced my stay positive - that's why I extended my reservation.

And you should meet Mike :-) A very pleasant guy - he was always smiling and joking with the guests! :-))

Thank you, Mike & Marianna, I had a great time in your hostel! And Mike: You have to come to Flims and learn Swiss-German ;-))

“Small & welcoming”

Very friendly and helpful owners run this small hostel walking distance from the attractions and nightlife of Cordoba.

Most guests when we stayed were Argentinians staying for the medium term rather than tourists, and sharing the hostel with the owners and their young baby may not be for everyone.

“Number 1!”

Just finished a 3 days stay here and it was amazing! Mike and his staff make you feel at home from the moment you set foot in the door. The whole place is very chilled and relaxed with plenty of common areas, a backyard, pool table, ping pong, hammocks and tv area. We booked a private double room with ensuite which was massive. We could pull the beds apart to make two singles which was better. Shower had pretty low pressure, but nothing too bad. Our room faced the backyard so got a little noisy at times, especially when they had the band playing on Saturday night out the back. But Mike did warn us as soon as we booked on hostelbookers that they were having a band to farewell a friend and he would refund our deposit if we had a problem- we didn't mind so much. Location was pretty good close to many bars and restaurants and about 10 min walk to the main square. Cant recommend highly enough! Oh and Mike, I know you're reading this, I hope it puts you at number 1!

Gracias Chicos!!!

Was a pleasure to have you guys visit us and thanks with putting up with our party! Anytime you are back in Argentina we will be waiting for you!!!

We are looking into the shower but our plumber says there is no easy solution... Its an old house and that is one of the drawbacks with old houses... But we will figure something out...

Anyways, happy travels and happy holidays!!!

Gracias!

Mike and Mariana.

“Cosy & safe”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 November 2010 via mobile

The staff is beyond friendly ! The extrasteps you must walk to get down town are worth it just to become friend of this people. One day they just make an "asado" for everybody and make you feel like one Argentinian else sharing a meal with the rest of the gang, way better than any restaurant. Play pool having a beer later is priceless. Very helpfully when need tourist info, you can tell they know the way around.

“Best hostel in Argentina”

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Pewman Che hostel a few months back and really found it hard to leave! Cordoba is a great city and Mike and Marianna are the perfect hosts to introduce you to it. The hostel is a good size, well located and with a really homey vibe. We both fell in love with the place and strongly urge anyone going to Cordoba to stay here.
