“Total escape!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 December 2009

Spent 3 nights here and found it beautifully remote, extremely comfortable, and the perfect way to relax, in contrast to BA. The boat journey is very interesting, travelling right into the delta. The staff were professional and yet friendly and welcoming. The food is very varied, and each meal was a lovely surprise. In fact by the end we simply could not eat all that was put infront of us. We were the only english-speaking guests which was refreshing. Whilst La Becasina is not cheap, for a speacial treat for a couple of days it is well worth it. Highly recommend!

“Relaxing eco-luxury in the far reaches of the delta”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 April 2009

Becasina can only be reached by boat, and on the journey out to it, the dozens and dozens of other lodges and vacation homes slowly thin out and disappear, and you keep going and going, crossing the Rio Parana, and heading farther back into the delta.

The bungalows are beautiful and luxurious, each with private balconies, very clean, well appointed bathrooms with tub and separate shower, and air conditioning as well as ceiling fans.

Luciana, who handled the reservations and also met us when we arrived, was friendly and accommodating, and the food was mostly delicious, except for one item of mystery meat on the buffet.

“Beautiful place BUT make sure the transfer is included!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 February 2008

This is my first review for tripadvisor as I felt so strongly that anyone considering this place should be warned!

My husband and I spent 2 nights at the Pascuala Delta Lodge earlier this month. Overall, we enjoyed our stay there - it's a very picturesque journey up there (1 hour boat trip through the delta), the rooms are clean and tastefully decorated, the pool is a lovely (and the only) place to hang out, the food is simple but tasty, and the staff were very pleasant.

However, on booking the place and the subsequent confirmation emails, no mention was made of the transfer to/from the Lodge, which is important as you can only reach it by boat! It was never mentioned at any point that there is only one transfer from Tigre to Pascuala per day (incidentally at the time of writing, it's 10.30am on arrival and 6pm on departure) or that it will cost you US$80 each way (per couple).
Management then tried to charge us US$215 for the journey to the lodge, and US$175 for the return leg. I considered US$390 an extortionate amount to charge and there is no other way of getting to/from the hotel! And of course they only accept cash....

So by all means stay in this place - I would definitely recommend the area for spending 2 or 3 very lazy days close to Buenos Aires, but be sure you are fully aware of what's included and the correct transfer times/costs.

“Superb Relaxing Retreat”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 November 2007

This is a beautiful and relaxing retreat in the middle of the delta. We would highly recommend a stay at La Pascuala if visiting Buenos Aires. It is a 90-minute speedboat ride to the hotel, which seems to transport you to another world. It is a great way to see the delta area and view all the delightful houses by the riverside. The setting is so serene, such a contrast to the hustle and bustle of Buenos Aires city centre only twenty minutes away. La Pascuala itself is exquisite and the service is excellent. The individual guest lodges are raised up on stilts and each one has its own balcony with a view of the river. Our bedroom was charming with a luxurious big bathroom. The common areas are lovely and the pool is a great place to sit out and soak up the sun. The food here is amazing - it was up there with the best we had tasted in Argentina. Although there was a set menu, we couldn't have picked better ourselves. Even the little appetisers before each meal were absolutely delicious. The tranquillity of this place makes it an ideal getaway to relax and feed your soul. [As a travel tip, you can get a taxi/Remis private hire from Buenos Aires to Tigre very reasonably. However, on the return trip, we would recommend ordering a Remis private hire from Buenos Aires (as opposed to Tigre) for a safer car and a driver who will know the city better.]

“Perfect place to relax”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 October 2007

We booked this hotel for a long weekend. The taxi-boat (about 90 minutes) is the first step to get disconnect ed from the city. The island is incredible, very wild and rough. It is sorrounded by channels of water and every room is a single isolated hut with a beautiful view of the river and a tastefully decoration.
Service is all inclusive and meals in general are very good, like gourmet food. Perhaps breakfast has not a big variety. There are no fruits and no cereals nor yhogurt. Only croissants with butter & jam.
The place is prepared for the mosquitos: each deck at the room has a courtain to protect the place and they have periodically fumigate the sorrounding area.
It is a perfect place to relax, very romantic and peaceful.
I know that in October 2007 is changing the owner. Let´s see how it works.
