My wife and I stayed here on our second visit to Buenos Aires and thoroughly enjoyed it. It is like stepping into the past from the moment you get into the old lift which brings you up to the hotel reception. The staff and Irish owner were very helpful and the welcome pack gives good advice and recommendations on where to eat and drink in the city. They booked an excellent gaucho day for us. As part of your stay, you get a free tango lesson and we were also picked up from the airport (free of charge).
Our room was spacious, clean and the antique furniture added to the old character of the hotel. There was free wifi and the buffet breakfast was good.
At night our room was a little noisy as we had two windows on Sarmiento street. Saying that we slept fine for the most part of our 4 night stay.
If you want a hotel with a difference in the centre of Buenos Aires close to the action, I would recommend this boutique hotel.

The rooms are very clean, the breakfast is great and the staff is extraordinary. So many personal touches made our stay so very enjoyable. Everyone was great and Nicco in particular became our best friend in South America. All of his recommendations and suggestions were right on. It would be hard to imagine staying anywhere else. There is no facade on the exterior to make you think of the warm, safe and welcoming environment inside. The central loction made it easy to get anywhere in BA you wanted to go; whether by foot, taxi or subway. Keerin Rooney feels more like your neighbor than a hotel owner. Please come stay with them when you are in BA.

We spent six nights welcomed and beautifully cared for by a warm, attentive and helpful staff. We enjoyed the intimacy of the setting, its gracious layout, high ceilings, excellent beds and delicious breakfast. The hotel is conveniently located close to the Micro Center of the city. The hotel is on the fourth floor (counting under the U.S. system) in a corner building. Do not be deterred by the exterior of the building. As soon as you step into the spacious entry, you will feel a sense of ease and familiarity. We selected our room to face the calmer of the two streets. However, despite the double glazing, you might be well advised to bring ear plugs for traffic sound unless you opt for a courtyard-facing room. We were delighted with our stay in every regard..

Centrally located near Uruguay Metro stop, restaurants and malongas. Very urban neighborhood. Staff outstandingly warm, hospitable and helpful with finding out what we needed to know, making reservations, chatting us up. Good American breakfast made to order until 10:30. Our room 5 was large, had high ceilings, double paned windows looked over active street. Our friends who accompanied us liked their ear plugs. It was clean with individual heat, fan and air conditoning unit. Public living rooms felt welcoming to hang out in. Daily newspaper in English. Free tango lesson was terrific. Unassuming entrance with a lift to the 3rd floor. Staff on duty all night. A great value.

My wife arranged all the trip. I had no time to contribute, so I had no expectations whatsoever... First time in Buenos Aires, we took a cab to the hotel. Actually, the hotel sent a car (free) to pick us up at the airport. Nice car, polite driver, good impression. Then we went to the hotel... around 40 minutes to get there... (it's very well located in the "mini centro" of Buenos Aires) where everything happens. Well, I didn't actually like when I saw the main (unique, old and very small) door of the building (yes, in BA boutique hotels are located in a building floor - others are residentials). Very odd. Then, the elevator, manual, very old, .... I WAS AFRAID and thinking I should take some time to help my wife out... Anyway, when we get there (3rd. floor) we were amazingly well received by Nicholas (NICO) who was not only very receptive but also helpful with tips and hints of Buenos Aires. Rooms are old style (and age) but very clean and comfortable. We don't spend that much of time in the room anyway, but even for those who will, I'd recommend it, it's cute... Simple but delicious breakfast, you can order basically anything you want... So, in the end I was well impressed with the cost x benefit that the hotel offers. If you go there, please send my regards to Nico and Vanessa. They make a difference with their attention.
I hope you enjoy your stay there and in Buenos Aires !!!!
Cheers, Guilherme Rego.
